Charming and pretty small thatched cottage, very well equipped, comfortable arm chairs and beds, with a most helpful housekeeper close by, available immediately for any difficulty, and a caring owner. Warm and cosy with excellent central heating as well as an Inglenook log fire, for the cooler weather. In a very sought after part of the village, but only five minutes walk from the village centre with every imaginable type of shop and facility and a vibrant village community, with two lively churches. A lovely central place for visiting all the beauty and tourist spots in the Cotswolds.
Pretty, sloping garden with garden seats and a small private terrace with table and chairs and umbrella. Warm, light conservatory with comfortable seats for cloudy days.
I would have given the location 10/10 also, except that
a. for those not used to traffic, the road outside is well frequented in the morning rush hour and not all the bedroom windows have secondary glazing, so that the morning rush hour could disturb a light sleeper. That is a minor consideration only, however, as ear plugs can be used.
b. The off road parking area is down a flight of steps to the cottage, and there are steps up to the front door, so guests need to be able to carry cases down steps.
