Inchcape Seaside Villas right on Silver Sands Beach - Seaview Studio


The Seaview Studio is a sweet little jewel on the private estate of the Inchcape Seaside Villas, located on the upper floor in the eastern wing of the Gatehouse at the Inchcape Seaside VIllas and with a nice ocean view from it’s upstairs terrace facing the ocean. It is a real gem amongst the rental units on this private estate. It’s modern amenities combined with it's stylish design for outdoor living par excellence in the Caribbean and it's tropical setting right on Silver Sands Beach provide for affordable luxury on a very up market property. Seaview has it all, a nice living bedroom with complementary high speed wireless internet access, satellite tv, private cell phone optional, stereo system with iPod / iPhone dock, and it is in an easy to relax location where guests may fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Patio furniture, out door dining setting and lounge chairs to relax in the sun round up the picture of a complete holiday home, just a few steps away from the lovely white sand beach in front of the property. The Seaview Studio has a large living/bedroom with a queen size bed, opening up to a lovely terrace facing the ocean, with chairs and a table plus lounge chairs. The Seaview Studio’s kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner stove, oven, good size fridge and everything else a well equipped kitchen should be equipped with. The full size bathroom comes with wash basin, toilet and shower, all nicely nicely equipped and tastefully tiled It’s wide “manouvrable shutter window” facing east allows the breezes of the trade winds to provide for maximum ventilation and an almost always perfect climate. For the odd day when the natural “climate regulator”, the trades, should let us down, ceiling and stand up fans provide for the temperatures to be never too hot. The cleaning service which comes automatically with this studio is a brief hotel type cleaning service and changing of towels (and sheets on request) every three days. Additional services can be arranged, but always and only on request and depending on availability of a qualified member of our work force.

Laundry service is offered by our maids on property at a small cost.

We reserve the right to make changes to any bookings under 7 nights where necessary without notice.

Nice view

Property was great. It was located on the wavy side of the island. We were not prepared for no air conditioning. It did not even cross my mind that it would not have it. The breeze was nice with all the doors open. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with any request we had.

Thank you for your review. Lory and her husband were nice and friendly we wish to have them stay with us again. However, it is noted on Homeaway and our website that our units do not have air condition as they are not needed due to the lovely Tradewinds we receive due to our location.

Amazing

The grounds, gardens and buildings are beautiful at Inchview, very well maintained...even nicer than the pictures online. Seaview was the perfect unit for 2, on the upper floor with a very large balcony ideal for watching the waves roll in. The unit was very comfortable, well-furnished and clean...perfect for a beach holiday. We did not get the opportunity to meet Wolfgang, but the rental process and correspondence was prompt and seamless. Staff at Inchcape were very friendly and willing to help. Short walk to the beach, if you enjoy playing in the waves then Silver Sands, Silver Point and Crane beach are ideal; Rockley Beach was perfect to catch the sunset. Car rental is a good idea if you plan on exploring the island; venture out to the North Point and Bathsheba for spectacular rugged views. Oistins Fish Fry on Friday is an event, also check out the Fish Pot Restaurant (St. Lucy), Surfer’s Bay Beach Bar (5 walk from Inchcape) and Café Luna (Oistins). Amazing get away!

Brilliant place in a perfect loaction

Our first floor apartment, Seaview, gave us a delightful vista through the palm trees and down to the sea. You also look down onto the ground floor apartments’ garden and hammock below. The white, sandy beach is a 2 minute walk away. The colours in the warm turquoise waters are truly amazing, and being east facing, the Atlantic surf provides plenty of waves to play in; whether you’re a surfer, windsurfer, kite surfer or just want some fun. If you want a calmer, more serene paddle, Miami beach is just a short mini-bus ride away, and has a food and coffee stall on site as well as immaculately clean changing, shower and WC facilities. The trade winds, and being on the first floor, negate the need for air conditioning in Seaview, which has 2 x glazed, double patio doors leading out onto a large balcony. There are also wooden plantation shutters on all the windows and doors which you can open or close. The balcony has a table, 2 chairs and two sunbeds as well as a wooden drying horse. You approach Seaview down a side entrance and up some wooden stairs. You enter through the small kitchen and then into the bedroom. The large bedroom, with a very comfortable double bed with simple white cotton sheets, has a high vaulted wooden ceiling with a fan. There is a table, 2 arm chairs, a TV and plenty of storage. The shower room is off to one side. The paint work, the cleanliness the whole ambience is 100% perfect, and has an overall very colonial, Caribbean feel. We couldn’t have been happier. In summary, we loved Inchcape, we were delighted with Seaview and would be very happy to stay in Seaview again, but would also love to stay in Sunrise on our next visit. Oh yes, will there be a next visit? Oh yes there will. In another 25 years? No way. A soon as possible!

Great views, location and sounds....

Seaview Apartment, on first floor, with a large balcony and views to die for, lovely beach to walk along pre breakfast on the balcony. Beach bar with good food (limited menu) good atmosphere, music (live on Thursdays and Sundays) other restaurants a taxi ride away The gardens are wonderful, with a choice of sunbeds, chairs, Cabana's and Hammocks lovely shade from palm trees, all accompanied by the sound of crashing waves, wonderful. As stated above, we stayed in Seaview for 14 nights, great views, had the comany of a pair of Barbados Bullfinches (Sparkies to the locals) Humming birds zooming around the well tended gardens, we even saw Mongoose and Green Monkeys in the local area. Didn't meat Wolfgang or Rosie apart from a phone call about the hire car he had booked for me. But very pleasant chat with him, and his staff were all very friendly. As standard you have your towels and bedding changed every 3 days, and room cleaned to a good standard. You will need $50 deposit for your safe key (safe a little on the small side, but adequate, just!....) We walked into Oistins 2 or 3 times (about 2 miles, and easily do-able) Try the Fish Market and buy some Mahi Mahi, Tuna King Fish etc good prices and really tasty and fresh fish! Also Enterprise beach (Miami Beach to locals) $20 for 2 sunbeds, plenty of shade from trees on beach, Mr Delicious food "bus" does awesome Chicken Roti's and Banks beer is a MUST do! All in all we had a wonderful time in this great accommodation, and would not hesitate to return. Brilliant.

The paradise on earth

I am coming back. I'm going to Barbados on a regular basis, one of the reasons being because I found the perfect place to stay, the Inchcape Seaside Villas. Since I found this property, I always stay there and I've been equally highly satisfied in each visit. From the property’s colonial style feeling to the cosy interiors without having to renounce on modern amenities, from the location right on the beach and not far from restaurants and entertainment, to the incredible friendliness and efficiency of the staff, this place is just amazing. I can't wait to go back as I'm confident that it will be perfect again.

Dreamy Chic Bajan Oasis w/ Top Notch Hospitality

I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to stay at the Inchcape Villas. From the initial greeting to the departure, it exceeded expectations like I had found a home away from home. Wolfgang and Rosie (the owners) go beyond the call of duty to make sure your needs are taken care of. They help to arrange anything from airport pickup, to the details and rates of a rental car, and will give you the insight on latest to dos (and not to dos) of the island. As residents of Barbados for decades, they have amazing insight and recommendations. The villas are impeccably maintained with taste and elegance each with the added element of the sounds and feel of the sea. We stayed in the Townhouse which the website images do no justice.

perfect place for a break from every day life

From the very beginning communication with the owner was quick and reliable. All our questions concerning booking procedures have been answered promptly and in full detail. On arrival we have been met by an airport driver, a service organized by the Inchcape Seaside Villas´s management. At the premises we have been welcomed by the chief maid/manager on site Natalie who handled the check-in procedures explaining the various facilities available, among them also a very quick and reliable free WLAN, showing us around the compound. Whenever we had a request Natalie and the maids took care of it quickly and friendly, their service was first class. We had booked two studios, “Coconut” on the ground floor with a very well kept garden and “Seaview” above on the upper floor with a large terrace. Both of them consisting of very spacious bedroom/living room, a well equipped kitchen and a conveniently furnished bathroom. It is only a few meters to the beach, but because of the strong tide and waves, perfect for surfers, we preferred to go swimming at the gentle “Miami Beach” in the very vivid village of Oistens, to be reached by a 10 minute drive by public mini bus. Since the Inchcape Seaside Villas are located in a somewhat remote area it is the perfect place to take a profound break from every day life. For entertainment we frequented the Surfer´s Beach Bar nearby which offers a small variety of dishes in the evening, accompanied by a sort of music. Towards the end of our stay we eventually met the owners who themselves have been on holidays, out of Barbados. It was a pleasure meeting Wolfgang and Rosi, we had a chat in a very friendly atmosphere and we could assure them that they have created a very particular gem adorning a true Caribbean paradise.

Lovely beachfront villas

We stayed at the seaview studio which was just as described by the website, although more spacious than I expected. It was spotlessly clean with a lovely private balcony attached where we sat each day listening to the sound of the waves. The kitchen is adequately equipped although no dish detergent or coffee filters are provided, which would be a thoughtful upgrade for the owners to include. The villas are very well maintained and tastefully decorated, nestled among lush tropical vegetation and all the units seem to be very private, with a gorgeous quiet beach just steps away. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the owners are very professional and were very prompt in answering all or our queries. As suggested in the website, we used the taxi service to pick us up from the airport and had the owners arrange a rental car which was waiting for us when Rodney dropped us off at Inchcape. A wonderful hassle free service. I would highly recommend going this route and also renting a car as Inchcape is not within walking distance of any amenities, nightlife or restaurants. The nearest sizable town is about 7 mins by car. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Barbados and I would certainly recommend Inchcape if you are looking for a quiet self catering type of vacation. It was lovely to have the option of being a short drive away for the busy street and nightlife but also having the peace and quiet and privacy of Inchcape.

Just loved it

We just came back from a 2 week stay at Inchcape and it is just beautiful. The houses, the location, the beach, the amenities. I can't say enough about how upscale this place is compared to other rental places we have stayed at before. There is really nothing to complain about. The internet connection worked perfect (free wifi). Thanks to all the friendly people at Inchcape, we will be back!

Inchcape was the best choice!

The rooms are very well appointed, the beach is paradise and the staff is wonderful. As Inchcape has only 13 rental units, which are all different, none are alike, the whole property is very unique and has a very special feel about it. You have a lot of space to enjoy and relax without being cramped around Inchcape’s garden and ocean front lawn area. It is in bare nature and still close to everything you want to be close to. This is THE place to stay.

Peace, Tranquility and kitesurfing heaven

We came for two weeks and stayed in two of the apartments, Seaview and Sunset. Other travellers seem to suggest Tower, but we cannot comment! The best thing about Inchcape is its location to the Kitesurfing Capital of Barbados, Silversands. If you're not a surfer, it's isolated and you need a car to find bars, restaurants and other beaches. Seaview (Upstairs). A studio style double room with separate kitchenette area and large balcony. Fresh breezes keep the unit lovely and comfortably cool. Great side views of the sea and beach from the balcony and perfectly adequate as a base of operations. Overall view on location is this: if you want a get away from it all place with great views, or you are a keen surfer, kitesurfer, wind surfer, this place is most definitely for you. If not, get a car and it's minutes to beaches you can safely swim at like Miami (Enterprise) Beach or Carlisle Bay; or places to eat like Oistins Fish Fry (try Uncle George's!), Surfers Bay beach bar, Kermit's Bar (very local), St Lawrence Gap, Worthing, Accra, Hastings and Rockley. The nearest walk to eatery/bar is Surfers Bay, but it only really opens at 5pm. The food is great and Sunday Night is their big night. There is loads to do and see on the south of the island. Crane beach is 30 mins by car, lovely lovely beach - plenty of other trip advisor ideas too if you search. We loved Inchcape. Wolfgang found us a hire car and managed our planned change of rooms very efficiently for us. The maids are friendly and cheerful. The rooms are kept clean, and fresh towels and linen every three days is fine. Salt air and occasional showers mean windows sometimes must be closed, but we didn't need the AC in the room, the gentle breeze was very comfortable in 29 degree heat. And no bugs at this time of year!! Marvellous!! Definitely worth serious consideration if you're after peace and tranquility, are prepared to use the reggae buses or get a car, for a more local vibe than the West Coast offering. We loved it and will be back. Stayed March 2015, travelled as a couple

The apartment was perfect & the location fantastic

The apartment was extremely beautiful, very well managed and full of little quality details. The view from the villas was breath-taking, I missed it the moment I left! The location was perfect for water sport addicted (like myself) but the island has so much to offer that even if you are not into kitesurfing you will love it!

Private and Relaxing

Arriving at Inchcape Seaside Villas, I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, who showed me to my apartment, Coconut. The layout and description that I found online prior to booking, were happily exceeded by actually seeing the property for myself. The apartment was very clean, and was maintained very well, the suite was very spacious and provided all the amenities that I would require for my weeks stay. The owners were amazing people, Rosie and Wolfgang immediately made me feel as if I were "home" and treated me like a family member. The atmosphere allowed me to be totally relaxed, and feel like I was in a place I belonged. I would highly recommend this property or any of the properties at Inchcape Seaside Villas to a family member or friend, the options as far as different accommodations are well suited for many types of travelers, from solo adventurers, such as myself, to families looking to stay for an extended period of time. The location was amazing, very secluded and private, however very close to many beaches and attractions. I know I will be returning to Inchcape Seaside Villas, for many years to come.

Paradise!

We just returned from 2 weeks at Inchcape in a studio apartment with a fenced in grass lawn, a hammock hung between 2 palm trees, a view of the ocean, the constant sound of the lapping surf, sunny days, a warm breeze, peace and isolation, and a gracious and unintruding staff. There's a perfect beach with a very swimmable surf, shade, and a food truck a 10 minute ride away and an inexpensive restaurant and bar with great food and atmosphere close by. We toured the entire island and found no other place we would have rather stayed. We didn't rent a car and rode the local "reggae busses" everywhere not within walkable distance. Everyone we interacted with welcomed us with a smile.

Absolutely stunning place. Better than imagined!!

Inchcape is an absolutely stunning property that is impeccably maintained. There is great attention to detail and Wolfgang makes everything run smoothly. We stayed in Seaview with a beautiful balcony and view of the ocean. There was a beautiful breeze blowing and we did not feel the need for a/c. We rented a car at Wolfgang's suggestion and enjoyed the freedom of getting around the island. When we initally booked our trip we thought that we might want to move to a different location after a week but once we arrived we decided to spend our whole time at Inchcape. The location was very central for what we wanted to do which was learn to surf. We enjoyed some meals cooked in our kitchen but mostly dined out at some of the local restaurants like Surfer's Bay, within a short walk, and to Oistins for the fish fry. Thank you so much Wolfgang and Rosie. You have done a fantastic job. We hope to be back again next year. Sabina and Jamie.

...an amazing location in Barbados...

We have spent a beautiful vacation in Inchape (guesthouse seaview) and in Barbados. The guesthouse is in a good position to visit west and east coast of the island and is closed to Oistins and Lawrence gap (5 min by car) where are present restaurants and markets. The location is amazing, with seaview. The aparment is clean and curate. Rosi & Wolfgang very helpful and quick to respond to email. The location is a good solution for a vacation to explore the island, rather than the usual resorts.

Beatiful villa!!!

I rested in February 2014 on villa "Coconut." The villa is fully met my expectations and placed foto.All of things very comfortable, the gardens have stunning views of the sunsets and watch more. All of villas are secluded and people do not interfere with each drugu. Beatiful beach for kite and wind serfers.Nearest beach - Miami with out waves can be reached in just a 10-15 min. Sehr sehr gut

Meine Frau und ich waren 1 Wochen dort und es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Das Appartement hat uns sehr gut gefallen und das Meer ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Der große Garten ist ein guter Platz zum chillen und sehr schön anzusehen. Die Vermieter sind sehr sehr nett und geben gute Tipps für den Aufenthalt auf Barbados. Man sollte sich auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen nehmen um die Insel zu erkunden oder um einfach mal nach Oistins zum Fischmarkt zu fahren. Surfspots sind auch schnell zu erreichen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden hoffentlich nochmal wieder kommen.

Exceptional Place for a relaxing vacation!!

Loved Inchcape Seaside Villas from start to finish!! The accommodations, staff, location and beaches were great. Any questions we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently! Coconut Villa was quiet, immaculate and steps from the beach! The Silver Sands beach was rocky but great for walking. We were only a 5 minute drive from Enterprise Beach which was perfect for swimming, walking, eating, drinking, etc. We walked to the Surfer Bay Beach Bar for dinner almost every night and were very happy with everything from food to service, but especially location!! We will be back.

We are the people who discovered Silver Sands for the sport of windsurfing. We were the first windsurfers in Silver Sands and made Silver Sands known as one of the best wave windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in the world. Numerous articles written by us and written by others about us and our activities, which were published in magazines wold wide and so contributed to lift the south coast of Barbados on the world map for outdoor activities as windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUP, surfing, boogie boarding cycling and many other sports. And in the tailwind of those who are now coming to take advantage of our incredible outdoor sports conditions, the ones who just seek to relax on a white sand beach also make a good percentage of tourist arrivals to the island.

The Inchcape Seaside Villas are situated in a unique location, right on the water at the western end of Silver Sands Beach. Inchcape, as it presents itself today, developed from a plantation property in 1920 and combines now the charm of the old with all modern amenities. Due to our location and proximity to the water we enjoy the best climate Barbados has to offer.
The houses have constantly been renovated and upgraded and Inchcape is recognized today as a unique and one of the most luxurious properties of such a kind in Barbados. Our beach is a beautiful and almost private beach, and has it all, from calm waters like on a pond to a small shore break at one end of the beach, which makes it the perfect beach paradise which again suits a broad range of holiday makers. Silver Sands Beach can be for everybody, from the sport enthusiast to the one who just wants to relax and enjoy the beautiful turquoises waters of this pristine white sand beach.

Our beach, the almost perfect climate due to the gentle breezes of the trades and our proximity to the water, our strategic location, just a few minutes away from the Oistins fish market and shops and restaurants, and still being in pure nature just minutes away from everything one wants to be close to and last but not least, a very fast WIFI free of charge for our guests and many more up market amenities, all those features are make out property outstanding.
