We stayed at a location with which we were familiar--Marriott Newport Coast Villas. It fully met expectations. The owner was very helpful in make the stay successful as this was my first VRBO stay and it involved adding weeks to a stay I had booked using my own ownership interest. Good communication with the owner was critical and made things go smoothly.

Beautiful resort!

A beautiful resort with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, and very family friendly. In a beautiful location and central to visit different beach towns and take day trips to LA. Very relaxing stay, we had a wonderful time!

Fabulous experience

Timeshare was exactly as described, great experience for families and kids, large property with lots of amenities and 3 pools etc. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Superb accommodations and service

I was super impressed with the staff at every turn. They were very attentive to whatever was needed- whether it was by the pool or with the room. The units themselves were roomy, comfortable and fully equipped with everyou might need.

Where to begin...we came to Newport Beach because my husband was having back surgery. From the very first interaction, our host, Ray (Cordano), was incredibly responsive, helpful, and pleasant to work with - especially as we had some unexpected hiccups with the surgery scheduling. We had very specific needs due to my husband's limitations after surgery, and I'm so thankful for the heads-up that Ray gave me about calling the resort two weeks prior to our stay to request certain accommodations (e.g., not all of the buildings on the resort have elevators). The staff at the resort was exceptional as well and made sure we got a unit that did not require an elevator or steps AND had a nice view of the ocean since my husband was going to be stuck in the villa pretty much the entire trip. Our unit as beautiful, clean, and stocked with plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The spa was heavenly, the workout facility spectacular, and the resort itself was conveniently close to a grocery store, pharmacy, and a quick drive to major malls and excellent dining establishments. Everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would HIGHLY recommend Ray and Marriott Newport Coastal Villas! We will definitely work with Ray again and enjoy another stay here!
The main pool area is huge, fun, with a great view of the Pacific Ocean.

This was our 8th year at the property. It was easy to book through the host. We love the amenities (especially when our kids were little), beauty, cleanliness and the location - between Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, plus it's only a short walk to the trails in beautiful Crystal Cove State Park. The resort provides a shuttle to Crystal Cove Beach, but it is also just a short drive to other beaches. Guests receive a discount to play golf at the beautiful Pelican Hill golf courses. The villa has everything our little family needs - two bedrooms, two bathrooms (plus two sofa beds) and a full kitchen. A couple of nitpicks: 1) Primary Suite. There is no separation between the primary bedroom and bathroom which, even with the refurbishment, was not corrected. I am not sure why Marriott thinks people want that. 2) Pools. I do wish they had an adult's only pool and would enforce the age restriction on hot tubs (babies in hot tubs - ick). Other than that, it's just such a beautiful, well-kept property in a convenient location. It's really hard to beat for the area! We absolutely love it!

Great stay

We enjoyed our holiday at the Marriott Villas. The kids loved the pools, koi pond and activities. The condo was spacious and comfortable. Ray was great, though you have to deal directly with the resort for pretty much everything, including the exact unit you will receive. It would have been nice to have a better view - I called 3 weeks in advance to request a nice view. We ended up overlooking trees and a partial view of the golf course. The front desk also could be a bit better in communicating the various amenities…it took us until the day before our last day to find the kid pool with the slides. We also learned toward the end of our trip that we could have called for golf cart service to take us around the resort rather than fight for parking. All said, however, beautiful resort, and we had a lovely time.

Great Vacation

We go to California every summer and usually stay in Huntington Beach at the Hyatt or Hilton. However, from now on we will stay here instead. It was great having a condo with full kitchen and two bedrooms and my children LOVED the amenities. There is a children's pool with a water play area, playfround, ping pong, tetherball, basketball, etc. Also, instead of being forced to pay $40/night to park your car, there is free parking near your unit. We found it easiest to go to Corona del Mar for the beach which was just 5 minutes away, and had ample parking, a bathroom, food, and wasn't overly crowded.
