What an awesome place!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The place is great. A beautiful view of South Sauty Creek and the mountains all around. Eagles and ospreys were seen daily as well as several other species of birds. Cabin is well equipped whether it is two people or more. Fishing is awesome as well. We were able to boat a 5+ pounder just a short run from the cabin. Having your boat in the water and a short walk away has spoiled me. I will never rent a cabin without a boathouse again! Eric is an awesome host and is easy to contact (he also gives good fishing advice). We had an issue with our guide being double booked and Eric took care of everything for us. He also knew the guide well which I am sure helped. When we go back to fish Guntersville again, I will not look for another place to stay.
Beautiful views and quiet location.
We had a great time. The house was perfect. The view from the porch was awesome especially in the morning and evening. The owners are very nice people and very helpful. We will be staying again on our next trip to Guntersville.
Guntersville Lake House
The property was well kept and the house clean. Views were spectacular from the house across the lake. The boat house, with lift, made fishing more enjoyable. I would return anytime. Eric was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed.
The Perfect Winter Retreat!
This home is the perfect year-round retreat! The home and home owner exceeded our expectations. The owner was a joy to work with - kind, organized, and incredibly accommodating. The pristine lakefront property was the perfect location for my entire extended family to meet for my sister's baby shower. The wood burning stove provided ample warmth from the below freezing conditions outside (direct access to an impressive wood pile ensures you will stay warm all day)! The view is breathtaking. My personal favorite... overlooking the water and mountains all day with my cup of coffee/hot cider in hand. Such a relaxing and worry free getaway for our entire family. I look forward to going back! And, our baby shower guest are excited to rent the property too!
Amazing View, lots of peace and quiet.
We really enjoyed the amazing views, great bird-watching, fishing, peace, and quiet. My husband loves kayak fishing and he could drive just a few minutes to a boat ramp. We were visiting family in nearby Scottsboro which was about a 25 minute drive and probably the closest grocery store and restaurant locations. The weather was unusually warm for December so we really didn’t need much heat, but I think the electric and propane heaters would be a bit of a pain if it was cold out. There is a wood burning stove, but we didn’t use it, I assume it would probably work great if you were prepared for that. We will definitely do this again!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Eric the owner was very nice and helpful.
We will definitely stay here again.
The Lake Guntersville area offers outstanding fishing, jet sking, hiking, golf, hunting, and bird watching to include bald eagles.
