Overall we enjoyed our stay at this villa, however, our biggest issue besides total lack of service & responsiveness from Management Company, is they charge top dollar (compared to other units) and we had many issues that we felt should not be encountered in a “luxury” rental.
PROS:
-Unit as pictured. Overall pleasant layout/nice kitchen for cooking.
-Loved the 2 golf carts. It was a short 10 min ride to resort. You can also drive your car, but golf cart made it feel more like a resort vacation!
-Renting a villa on the Four Seasons development gives you more space and access to a kitchen vs. a hotel room.
CONS:
-The unit is located on a rather busy road, especially during the weekdays, where an average of 1-3 cars pass every minute. (Many of them are service vehicles) It’s not a noise issue if you are inside the house, but if you enjoy coffee on the back deck every morning it was not very relaxing. The lot is pie shaped so the road effectively encircles the house on all view sides of the unit.
-Also important to note -there are 2 lots directly below the property that are graded for construction. We saw them staking out one of the lots, so construction is imminent and will be a big issue for noise/dust for this villa. Definitely ask about construction before renting.
-The decor could use some freshening up, as a couple of the chairs in the living room had threadbare cushions. It also looks as if the villa has not had a deep clean in awhile. Some windows were so dirty (perhaps needed to be replaced?) it impacted the view, especially in dining area.
-No body soap in showers (just liquid hand soap by sinks) Found some used soap in the Master Bath under sink, wrapped in toilet paper, but otherwise had to use the liquid hand soap from sink for bathing.
-In addition to VRBO agreements, the owner requires you sign an additional 5 page rental agreement- which seems excessive.
-To use Four Seasons amenities you pay a lot PER PERSON extra daily! (per Vrbo we’re not able to list cost.)
-Lorena, the property manager was not at all friendly or helpful. All correspondence was curt and some questions required multiple asks. The arrival instructions were unclear/road names were incorrect. No one met us at the house, no call during our stay to check in, etc.
If this was a inexpensive rental we may have overlooked much of this, but for the higher price tag these should not have been issues.
