About Katie Dingman

Hi, I'm Katie!

My husband, Jim, and I went camping and exploring the Olympic Peninsula the summer of 2011 and fell in love. We knew this was where we wanted to retire, someday. A year later we decided we didn't want to wait any longer to live in such beauty, someday was now. We packed up, sold our Wisconsin farm, and haven't looked back.

Every day we wake up and are in awe of where we live. We share our amazing home with our 2 daughters, our long haired Dachshund, Finnigan and 2 cats, Oreo and Ditto.

We would be pleased to have our tiny house be your getaway place and would be happy to share with you a little bit of what we find so special about the area we call home.

Katie Dingman purchased this house in 2016

Why Katie Dingman chose Sequim

We love the quiet and relaxing setting of our property. We're fortunate to be living in an area with many small farms yet just minutes to Sequim and easy accessibility to Port Angeles and the Olympic National Park.

What makes this house unique

We live in the main house, a comfortable distance away, separated by greenery and cedar privacy panels from the tiny house, to ensure you have your own private getaway.

The picturesque setting, between the pond and creek, tucked away in its own little paradise, makes the perfect resting spot for the Tiny House Getaway. The tiny house is a continual work in progress and work we take delight in. We have enjoyed creating this special little place to share with our family and guests. Katie & Jim

Magical and amazing little place

  • 5 of 5

The Tiny House is amazing and hosts Katie and Jim are very gracious. Very private but close to things to do in Sequim. The quality and workmanship of the house are first rate and the upstairs bed next to the window was very relaxing. As Arnold says, "We'll Be Back"

Perfectly Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here while visiting our Navy son. The place was perfectly located for our day trips into the mountains and whale watching. There is plenty of room for 4 adults as the outside area offered a great place to sit and have a relaxing visit. It was perfectly set up for our arrival with many nice and thoughtful touches. Katie was easy to communicate with and thought of everything. Although this tiny house sits near their main house it is very private and secluded. We will definitely stay again.

Dreamy and welcoming haven

  • 5 of 5

I came up to Sequim with friends to enjoy the Lavender Festival and the Tiny House was the perfect place to start and end our days of wandering through lavender fields. Our first evening we saw a deer and her baby by the pond while walking through the wildflowers edging the water, and in the morning we listened to birdsong and watched a kingfisher dive in the pond for his breakfast. Every need was considered in furnishing the Tiny House with extra toiletries and supplies, and we easily found all we needed in the kitchen to barbeque our dinner one of the nights. The setting was cozy, peaceful and quiet, as promised, with fresh flowers inside and out of the House. Katie & Jim have created a welcoming haven and we will return as soon as we can to enjoy the soul nourishing setting again.

One of a kind!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! I can't express enough how amazing our time was at the tiny house! The location is perfect to get into town quickly or to Olympic National Park. Everything about the tiny house was perfect! Attention was given to every detail, and everything was so comfortable. I am very paticular about cleaning and couldnt find a flaw anywhere. Everything looked and felt brand new and was designed for comfort. The landscaping was amazing and just beautiful. All of our questions were answered quickly and the fridge had staples provided for our first morning which was such a treat. The only downside was we decided to stay in Forks when visiting the Hoh rainforest instead of driving back to the tiny house. Learn from our mistake: don't leave the tiny house, just make the drive! Nothing compared and as we prepare to end our vacation my very favorite spot is still the tiny house. I can't express enough how much we enjoyed our time and how thankful we are to our hoist for making everything so perfect! We will be back!
