Hi, I am so glad you enjoyed the house and what it offers. There are not many places like this that are peaceful. Then taking back roads you can be in Lake George Village in 8 minutes. There are so many things to do there or like most of us, we just enjoy the lake and stay in the house. I appreciate guest like you and you are always welcome and valued. Since you left we did some upgrades as well.Thank youfrank
Nice location near lake George village and amenities. Beautiful view, lots of Eagles and Osprey. Plenty of room. Decent fishing on Glen Lake. Recommended for peaceful getaway.
The view was lovely. The response of the property manager was great. But the stairs…….it does not show you the amount of stairs to get into the house or down to the dock

Hi Marlene, we’re so glad to hear the setting and communication helped make your stay enjoyable. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- The A/C cools the home effectively, though south-facing windows can let in warmth from the sun, even in winter. Extra blankets are provided during colder months for added comfort.- The steps leading to the lake are consistent with others in the area, and while significant structural work would be needed to rebuild them, the front railing and steps are currently being updated.- The balcony is structurally sound, and while it may not match every guest’s aesthetic preferences, it provides a safe and relaxing spot to enjoy the surroundings.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review as we work to provide a 5-star stay for future guests. We would love to host you again when you are in the area.
Was an enjoyable week in a rustic house on the lake. Private dock offered all water fun we needed. Place was clean and private. Close to town and grocery store. Owner was easy to reach and answered all questions quickly.
Would rent again
The location is beautiful. Tranquil. Communication was great. Spacious cabin with plenty of sleeping areas. However, there were no laundry facilities as stated in the ad. A/c in the main living area, none in sleeping quarters, we bought fans. Def more on the rustic side, as expected for a cabin.
We chose this because Glen Lake is just south of Lake George and north of Saratoga Springs, two of our destinations. The house is waterfront to the lake so you can enjoy that during your stay. Look at the pictures before you book, it is not modern and has a lot of steps to get inside and from the back yard to the water, so suggest no younger kids or adults that arent able to walk well, but this suited us perfectly.

Booking with evolve was very easy.
The cabin we stayed in was great. It was right on the lake. It had the right amount of room for the 6 of us. It was clean and cozy. Full size stove, coffee maker, microwave. Had our coffee out on the deck every morning. Beautiful view. You have a restaurant right down the road. Super market and shopping close by as well if you forget to bring anything. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice, lakefront property, exactly as described in the profile. It does require climbing a number of stairs to get both to the main property and then down to the lake. But there’s plenty of space on the main floor, and three comfortable bedrooms on the lower floor.
Overall I was very happy , mostly because of the “on the lake” location. The property manager’s communication was excellent and he was very customer focused. The only drawback was that the house could use a little TLC. Everything’s was a bit run down and a coat of paint and some minor repairs wouldn’t a long way. All of this is overshadowed by the tremendous location and great communication. If luxury and high end is your thing, this place would be a problem. If you want a spectacular location and view and don’t need the high end stuff, this is definitely for you.
if you are looking for a place to just crash at night and are not worried about cleanliness this place works. Septic system smell was all around property. Place looked and felt like it was about to collapse (floors had about a 12" pitch).
Would not recommend for families. If it is just a group of mid 20s friends who just need a roof. This place works

John, We're sorry to hear that your stay fell below expectations. We relayed your feedback to the homeowner, and we'd like to share the following:
-The owner was surprised to hear your feedback about the septic tank, as they requested your group reach out if there were problems with it during residence, and they were never contacted.
-The listing description notes that this house is not recommended for small children or the elderly due to the many steps.
-We have confirmed there is no 12-ft pitch in the flooring.
We are confident that this owner will continue to provide excellent guest experience, and that many future travelers will enjoy their stay here!

Ehhh
No canoe or kayak as advertised. Grill is broken. Stairs down to beach need work Stairs coming down from driveway also. Only good thing is its right on the water. A little work and a new grill, canoe would improve the stay immensely for very little time and money .

Beautiful Lake
This cabin on Glen lake was a lovely vacation. The lake is very quiet but still fun. Every day there would be people out on boats and paddleboards but it was never crowded or noisy. My sister and I loved sitting in tubes and floating calmly on the water. We loved sitting on the deck watching the bald eagles fly across the lake. The water was so clear you could sit on the pier and watch the little fish swim around. I wouldn't recommend this location for people with mobility issues, there are some difficult stairs to get into the house and down to the water. This house is an older property, so its more of a rustic, cabin type feel, so no recent upgrades. But the property was comfortable, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning kept us cool when we needed it. The host is very responsive and helpful. My brother left a computer component at the house and the host has been so gracious at working with him to mail it back.

I've visited Glen Lake many times and always enjoy the area. This particular property needs some work on both the amenities and general upkeep before I could recommend it to others. Upon checking in, I emailed the host with a concern about the condition of the decks (several wobbly floorboards on each level) and did not hear back for 2 days. When I finally heard back, I shared other concerns, including extensive mold on the shower curtain, excessive noise from the unit's only ceiling fan, temperature control on the refrigerator being taped over in lieu of a dial, and the Brita filter being covered in gunk (required a lot of handwashing). Don't get me wrong, I am fine with and can appreciate "rustic" in a lake-house. But there was a bit more trouble-shooting than I would prefer to have to deal with on a vacation.

From the Owner: "Thank you for sharing your concerns. Since your stay, we’ve had our handyman replace the shower curtains and complete the deck step repairs (originally scheduled for June). I was planning to send you photos of the updates on Sunday, but then I saw your review. The refrigerator has been replaced three times in the last seven years due to damage from incorrect settings, but we’ve addressed it again to ensure it’s working properly. I hadn’t seen your email at the time, as I ask guests to text me for urgent issues, but had I known about the shower curtain or fan sooner, we could have addressed them during your stay. The ceiling fan recently had new blades installed and was balanced shortly before your visit. Our handyman did not find it overly noisy, but we’ll keep an eye on it.We appreciate guests treating the home with care, especially when it comes to appliances, and your feedback helps us continue to make improvements."

Serviceable, but a beautiful view and good location.
My impression of this property is that it needs work. The steps outside leading down to the house are in disrepair and dangerous, especially at night. There is inadequate exterior lighting, and the lighting inside the house is not great either, particularly on the stairs leading down and in the master bedroom. Bare minimum in the pots and pans and towels, and although the knives need sharpening, the utensils were otherwise plentiful. More towels would be appreciated and there is no washer/dryer. This is a good place for younger people or those on a budget who don't need the niceties and are looking for a great view and easy access to everything Glens Falls and Lake George have to offer. It is not a luxury stay, but meets the basic needs.

Hi Robert, we’re so glad you enjoyed the view, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:-We do supply a minimum of six towels based on the number of guests.-Outdoor lighting is installed along the steps and throughout the exterior. We apologize if you felt the amount of lighting was inadequate as we have not had any other reports of poor lighting.-Our listing does not advertise a washer and dryer at the property. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
Place was nice, comfortable and clean. My only complaint is the ad stated Canoe/Kayak which make people assume there is a canoe and kayak there. I didn't bring mine because the ad stated this. When I asked, the owner just kept giving me places to rent them on Lake George and told me his canoe was damaged... I didnt want to drive to Lake George. THey should change their ad. Misleading... Otherwise the place was fine, nothing fancy and stairs were tough but we knew this and didn't affect us any.. The lighting could be improved as well.
Amazing view. It is a lake summer cabin. If you are looking for the Ritz, this will not be your cup of tea. Having lived on this lake every summer since I was a kid, it was just what I expected. Really enjoyed the place.
Home was beautifully situated right on Glenn lake in beautiful Queensbury NY , house was clean , not a home for small children but for us it was fine , had a very good week !

Great Family Vacation
We recently spent 7 days here for our family vacation. It was exactly as shown in the pictures and description.
When you enter and walk through the spacious, open living room/dining room, you are greeted with a stunning view of Glen Lake. The view of which my son said (while sitting on the dock drinking his coffee one morning), "If I woke up to this view every morning, I would jump out of bed!".
The kitchen, dining room, living room and 1/2 bath are all on the main level. The kitchen had all the amenities/appliances of an efficiency (full size fridge, microwave, stove, oven, toaster and coffee maker, utensils) all of which were clean and in working order.
The bedrooms and full bath were all on the lower level which would be an issue for those with mobility issues. Speaking of mobility issues, the steps leading to the house itself and the steps to the dock would be difficult to traverse if you have mobility issues.
The 3 bedrooms (1 king and 2 with bunk beds and a trundle bed) also have lovely views of the lake.
The rooms were clean with plenty of closet and dresser space. Some towels and blankets were provided but it wouldn't hurt to bring your own.
In summary, we would highly recommend this as a quiet getaway spot. Clean, spectacular views and very relaxing. You are also literally minutes away from shopping, and attractions.
Our experience with Evolve was seamless and as a host, Frank was very reliable and responsive
This quiet shabby two story lake front camp on Glen Lake is quite eclectic, a composition of construction materials, paint and summer camp furniture.
From the driveway at the end of the road it is an eighteen step drop down to the main floor outside patio with BBQ grill. Enter the premises and be greeted with a high lake view. No bad camp odor. Everything for a couple day stay seemed to be there in the open kitchen, dining and living room area on this level. Half bath is also on this floor. It needs a remodel on the wall paper. The two balconies on lake side are narrow and a couple of boards were loose. Not sure if railings are up to code. If you have small children never leave them unsupervised on the balconies.
Be aware that there is a TV but there is no cable. You get three stations: StarTV, ME and I don't know. If you like The Closer, The Flintstones, Andy Griffith, Mash and Leave it to Beaver you're all set.
The kitchen has most supplies but I would encourage you to bring your basics: dish soap, paper towels, your fresh choice of spices and sponge. It was adequately clean. I couldn't get the microwave to work.
Fortunately it wasn't too cold this mid September week. We didn't need to turn on heat, except for the downstairs bathroom. The lighting in bath is minimal and the shower dark. All bedrooms are located on the downstairs floor. Blankets were a minimum but all seemed to be clean. Towels are provided, but no wash clothes. The hallway and stairs down are dark. No light on the stairway. I left a light on upstairs to provide some night lighting for 12 stairs down.
The smoke detector downstairs needed a new battery. I don't think the master bedroom had a heater.
From the main living floor it is 44 stairs to the dock. So if you can't negotiate steps this is not the place for you. The hand rail is wobbly and in need of a new rail to avoid splinters. Be careful
The lake is quiet in September. It was a nice place to watch sun rise, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the peace while the fish swam by. I brought my canoe and kayak. Perfect.
As a quiet getaway from news, covid and politics this place provided the simple solution. I only live 20 miles away and I felt like I was in a faraway pleasant world.
Had a great vacation on a fantastic lake. Remote and relaxing, the listing was fully accurate and Frank was very accommodating. I would stay here again. You can't beat the location as the property is right on the shore of the lake.
