Royal Palm Studio with Hot Tub

Summary:

Royal Palm is a beautiful newly updated studio cottage tucked away in the heart of Old Town Key West.

There is a private hot tub for your use. In a great location, Royal Pam is walking distance from all the historical museums and the one and only Duval Street. Only a 5 minute drive from Fort Zachary Taylor National State Park, and steps away from the famous locally owned restaurant Blue Heaven.



The Space:

Our private studio is freshly painted, newly furnished & ready for your arrival. The studio boasts a king size bed, private bathroom, flat screen TV, and complimentary wifi.



The convenient kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and blender. We provide a starter supply of household items such as, Keurig K Cups, hotel size shampoo/conditioner, paper products and crisp white linens.

Outside of your unit is a tropical Tiki Hut, enclosed patio, and a private hot tub for your use.



Guest Access:

Our contactless check-in procedure makes check-in easy. Guests will receive a personalized access code prior to arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Located on Whitehead St which is 1 block from world famous Duval St, "Royal Palm" is walking distance to nearly everything you will want to experience during your escape to Key West. Walk to popular spots like The Southernmost Point, Key West Lighthouse, Blue Heaven, Firefly, Green Parrot and the Earnest Hemingway Home which are all just right down the street. Want to hit the beach? Head down to Ft Zach State Park & Beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters and beautiful quiet beaches for a small admission fee.

Parking Information: There is no on-site parking for this unit. For overnight parking, here are some parking lot options:

• Caroline Street Outdoor Parking Lot

• Park N Ride Old Town Garage

Street parking information:

• There are pay-to-park spots and meters - it is free from 12am - 8pm. There is a 3 day limit.

• The neighborhoods of Old Town offer some free parking spaces, but be aware that many of the spots are marked “Residential Only” and visitors are NOT permitted to park in them.



There are a variety of great ways to explore Key West including by bicycle, pedi-cab, moke, scooter, golf cart, Uber, Taxi, or by feet. As this unit is located in downtown Key West, many attractions are within walking distance. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!



Other Things to Note:

- Recently updated & newly furnished Spring 2024!

- This studio is part of a larger rental the Southern Palms Compound that includes access to the main house - which is a 3 bedroom on the first floor and a studio on the second floor. Reserving the entire compound can allow up to 16 guests.

- Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome!

Was an amazing place to stay. This was our first time in Key West. Host was beyond responsive and accommodating. The property was spotless inside and out. This was also our first time using Vrbo and will definitely use again. I highly recommend this place to stay as it is walking distance to everything.

Loved it!

Great location and great stay! We traveled in March when it wasn't too hot. Weather was a perfect low 80's during the day and cooled off just enough to enjoy the hot tub at night.

Anniversary Trip

We were married in Key West in 2007 and this is where we stayed! We have tried several times to rebook but this was the first time it was available. Brought back so many good memories. Great location to walk to anything but also great place to just hang out together and chill. Hope to rent again on another anniversary.

Went to key west for our anniversary. Couldn’t be happier with the accommodation. The representatives made sure we were comfy and if we needed anything at all they were ready and willing to help. Property is not well maintained. Hot tub is gross and unusable, security gate is broken, mold in shower area. Not worth the price despite its location. Contacted management company which eventually offered a very small partial refund. Tried contacting the absentee owners and never got a response.

The room, kitchen area were clean and exactly like the photos. bathroom is in need of some updates, sink knobs are not working properly as they are not attached, the light in the bathroom goes on and off must be a wiring issue. Looked cleaned, however on the patio and hot tub are was not. Hoses out, old pool filters on ground and grill, found a past guests drivers license on the grill too. use water bottles left behind just didn't get looked at. Hot tub looks like it hasn't worked in a while, didn't work, I let them know that it was completely disconnected from power and cords laying open right away, they finally replied the next day in the afternoon to see if I would want them to send a mantaince guy out to look at it. it's not a little fix. Lol. anyways it was one of the only reason I picked it and I feel they knew about it and didn't advertise the listing properly. Buyer be aware you might not get what you pay for.

Nice room in very good location at a reasonable price. Good communication with quick responses but they could pay closer attention to the room details. One example: was not able to operate the TV in the room. Not a big deal since we weren’t planning on watching a lot of TV but would have been nice to have the choice. Cable box did not work and there was no TV remote, the only one available was for the cable box.

Exceeded Our Expectations!

My wife and I decided to get away over Thanksgiving weekend. We stayed here Thanksgiving Day through Sunday. This property truly did exceed our expecations. It was exactly as described and the location puts you just a block away from Duvall Street and all of the action. This little bungalow is also set back away for the street so we experienced no noise nuisances despite being near the bars. This property is within walking distance to virtually all of the main "tourist stops" in Key West (Duvall Street, Hemingway's Estate, Southern Most Point, Little White House, etc.). We highly recommend this property if you're looking to experience Key West as a couple.

It worked

Nice private spot. Loved it! Bed was a little hard. They only left two rolls of toilet paper for a 5 day stay for 2 people. Forget the laundry machines unless you like chicken poop on top and debris in the machines.

Very good. A little noisy but that's to be expected a block off Duval St and if you shut the doors you can't hear anything. Loved having a Keurig but for some reason there was only 1 coffee cup Could have used a table inside and some more places to hang things in the bathroom but we were very happy with the place.

We spent a full week in this poverty private bungalow and were very pleased! Of course the available laundry facilities and hot tub were a bonus but the best part was the location. Easily accessible to everything! This quaint bungalow was surrounded by businesses with live music, which we enjoyed, but we couldn’t hear a thing when inside. We felt secluded and loved the privacy. My only suggestion would be to have available bikes to use. We were fortunate to have friends let us borrow theirs so it was not an inconvenience for us. The hosts communicated well and responded quickly when asked questions. They were very helpful and offered recommendations. New linens and towels were dropped off throughout the week as well. We will definitely be back!

A disappointing Anniversary

As current VRBO hosts we were highly taken back with the lack of attention to detail at this property. Upon arrival the private courtyard was found with empty beer cans and a hot tub that was used by next door renters Inside the unit you will not find a split unit to be working but you will find a noisy window unit. Non of the blinds are in working condition and you will need to even bring a sponge so you can wash your dishes. So in summary if this vacation rental company would have more attention to detail it would be an amazing stay and space along with proximity to Duval
