***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

Very Good

We were not aware that the location was under construction and the fact that we could not go into the ocean due to smell from Tijuana and the dirty water.
The condo was very nice and clean, and the listing was explained accurately.

Overall all the property was good , But its little difficult to find the property as there were sign and also having difficulty in finding parking
Great condo for our stay in Imperial Beach. Location is awesome with many restaurants and an a couple breweries within walking distance. There was some construction being done on the other side of the building but it didn't really bother us. We were gone most of the day wile the work was going on.
Off street, garage, parking for two cars was perfect.
Wonderful place to stay.
This is the worst place I have ever rented. Very outdated, cabinets smell like roach spray. Mildue in bathroom shower. Missing lights in bathroom. Shower drain loose, fall hazard. I need my money back.
I was home for a family funeral so emotions were involved. Even though I've stayed at IB Club twice before, with the last visit being two months prior, I pulled into the wrong parking garage...ugghh....it was late and had been raining so I panicked trying to get in....oops, but Trisha called quickly and calmly walked me though it until I got my barings about me again. Thank you Trisha! Hope I got your name right ;)
Wish there were things like salt and pepper available and maybe some simple spices. Overall good stay oh and the flushing of the upstairs toilets is a bit loud in the middle of tye night
Great property with nice beach views and access! We enjoyed using the boogie boards and there was plenty of space for everyone. I was disappointed though because I was really looking forward to use the hot tub and pool. The hot tub was closed and the pool was only open during the day. I was disappointed and wish the description might have indicated these features were not available as they were the main reason I booked this condo over others.
Loved the location especially with toddlers being right on the beach and many restaurants waking distance. The only thing u didn’t like was how outdated the condo was but other than that love our stay

Smell! We had a cart that was stored in closet that stunk like piss!
Well we were greeted with the manager telling us that HOA doesn’t allow dogs over 25lbs. Then we go into condo and we go into bedroom with a smell! That’s where the cart we used to unload our stuff that stunk like mouse/rat pee! It sat on the porch after that! then there are smokers above us on the deck! Pool people were rude. Never got to use hot tub due to either being cleaned or the kids were in it. Pool cleaner strung hose thru pool to clean Hot tub while hubby and kid were in the pool. Rude! We left a day early due to smell in bedroom. So not the best experience for our first time at a Vrbo.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! The unit was very clean, looked just like it does in the pictures, and very comfortable. Making the reservation was easy, property manager was responsive to questions, and directions for checking in and out was easy to follow. I had a slight issue with parking and was able to reach the property manager right away for assistance. The only issue that came up was the parking garage gate was not working for 2 nights, but they posted a security guard there the second night to keep an eye on things. Outside of that, this was exactly what my family and I were hoping for, and we were very happy with our stay.
We had so much fun during our stay here in Imperial Beach. We stayed June 2020, during COVID, and even with most attractions, restaurants, etc., being closed or having very limited hours, it was nice to be able to relax in such a nice condo and listen to the waves right outside our windows. It forced us to slow down and truly enjoy the surroundings and I couldn't be more pleased. Would love to be able to go back again next year!
Property manager yelled at my son and niece from balcony for wearing wet suits in hot tub. She then proceeded to rant to my husband and I about how to raise our children, mind you in front of our other children and other families.
Another worker apologized to us and stated “she is nuts”.
Two days later we heard her yelling at other vacationers. We over heard her say “these people make my life a living hell”.
We also had our water turned off for 4 hours for a “maintenance issue”, and when asked about other options or compensation, we were told, “you don’t get compensation for emergencies”.
We will never stay again! Think twice if your looking for a relaxing atmosphere or like to deal with descent people.

San Diego stay
We enjoyed our stay, the location was great and the people were nice. However as I mentioned in my other review, I felt the condo could have been cleaned a little better. I’m VERY cautious of cleanliness and I think there were mouse droppings in the bedroom dresser which freaked me out. I can’t be positive but that is what it looked like to me. For that reason alone i prob would not rent this unit again.

Great place to stay on the beach. It was as excepted roomy and great views of the beach.
The condo was very nice and plenty of space for cooking in the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets were worn from everyday use. They could stand to be replaced. The only other item was the brown couch needed cleaning. I would recommend this for any one who needs a great place on the beach. Also be aware this is a public beach area and can get noisy on weekends if you have end units near the beach access areas. But will miss waking up to the ocean outside your door! We will be back!

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
Imperial Beach is an older, poorer area of San Diego and the Condo reflected that as well. It was probably nice about 25 years ago but now it's old and the whole building looks run down. The Manager was wonderful, she was very helpful, the condo itself was spotless but there was nothing nice about it but the view. The cutlery, towels, bedding, dishes...everything was old and dingy. It was right on the ocean so the view was beautiful but there are homeless people living on the beach so that was not so nice. Surprisingly for a beach condo there were no beach towels and no beach chairs (or none usable). As said in previous reviews the blinds are insufficient and it is hard to sleep with all the light and you can hear when the neighbors are flushing and showering. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else - we were surprised to find what we found - not happy!

VACATION AT THE BEACH
The rental was just perfect for us, quiet, clean, plenty of room, view of the beach, everything we needed. The outside porch was fantastic, beds were comfortable, coach and chairs were comfy, I would rent it again, the only thing I saw that needs attention was the cupboards kinda stink and some of the silverware was dirty, no big deal for us, the cupboards just need to be cleaned, the pool area was nice with beautiful plants and flowers, all in all very good rental
