Peaceful setting on Piper Creek
The Swan Valley offers a perfect setting for an outdoor vacation, and this cabin's location allows for many day trips. During our stay last week, we enjoyed Glacier Lake, Holland Lake and Falls, Lower Cold Lake, Jim Lake and Van Lake. We were pleased to find all the necessary maps to plan our hikes at the cabin. The Condon Ranger Station is just a short drive from the cabin, so, if you can't find the information you need in the cabin library, the friendly and knowledgeable staff will help. It was great to have everything necessary to cook all our evening meals at the cabin after a long day hiking. The cabin is just as pictured. Scott has thought of everything to make your stay relaxing, comfortable and memorable.
We loved the place, it's very clean and well kept in a beautiful setting next to Piper Creek. Scott, the owner was very attentive and had several suggestions for things to do in the area. From here we visited Glacier National Park and fished the Swan River and a couple of the lakes in the mountains above, truly a spectacular site. Not only would I recommend this cabin, I would return.
Very serene experience! Very quiet and just what we all needed!
The cabin was extremely serene. My whole family loved it! It was remote enough to have a ton of privacy, yet close enough to a few towns to go have dinner for an evening. The fire pit next to the creek was a big hit for the kids, with plenty of firewood to burn for those schmores! From walking into the cabin, we all noticed that it was very well-kept and clean, which is a big necessity for us. We had an absolute great time at this cabin. The kids enjoyed the loft and climbing up to their beds every night was another big hit for them. The place had everything we needed and then some. A big thanks to the owner for a complementary bottle of wine. If we get to go back to Montana, this place will be on our list of places to stay at again. Thanks so much for a wonderful week!
Everything we expected and more
I can't brag enough about our stay in this cabin. It was just what my husband and I needed to decompress from our busy 'burb life. Scott, the owner, stayed in touch and provided us with all the information we needed to begin our stay. A bottle of wine and a jar of huckleberry jam awaited us. There was also beer in the fridge. I am a big believer in that it's the little things that can make a difference. The cabin was very clean and the linens were very nice quality. The bed was very comfortable and we opened the windows at night (the cabin has no air conditioning) to let in the cool breezes and listen to the sound of Piper Creek.
There was so much to do in the area and we were gone most of each day and were always happy to come back to this relaxing environment and enjoy the wine and beer! We spent two days at Glacier National Park and visited the nearby towns of Kalispell and Bigfork. Both were very charming and made for great day trips. We also visited nearby Garnet Ghost Town, which we loved. We took advantage of a hiking guide left at the cabin and did some day hikes close to the cabin.
Overall, it was wonderful. We would go back in a minute and hopefully will make it back one day. Thanks so much, Scott. You have a gem there.
Cute and Cozy Cabin
This is a great cabin. Cozy, clean, and very well equipped. Mornings and evenings were spent on the deck watching birds and listening to the sound of the creek. It was a great base for visiting Glacier Park and other area sites and I hope to stay again next summer. It was great fun!
