SouthBound - Ground floor with direct beach view!

SouthBound is a rare ground-floor unit that still enjoys a beach view at the Dauphin Island Beach Club. This listing is for the full unit. Quick access to the outdoor pools and gulf beach! One of the pools is heated. Find your beachside happy place at this polished 4 bedrooms 3 baths. It is well-furnished and enjoys a great location and a complete finish as the comprehensive makeover was completed in January 2021.

This is a split unit that includes 2 self-sufficient 2-bedroom units connected via a foyer. You will have 2 full kitchens and 2 living rooms. Share with another family or allow the kids their own space!

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

House Rules:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. This home is NOT pet-friendly.

Best vacation. The pictures do not do this place justice! It was much bigger than it appeared in the pictures. There were some hiccups with check in and cleanliness but it was promptly taken care of! Some places with in walking distance for shopping and food which is a plus! We will most definitely be going back!

The condo was the perfect spot for quick access to the pool and beach. Everything you would need was available, stocked, and decorated so you didn't feel like you were in a hotel. We had both condos; perfect for our teenage kids to have their own area. We would definitely pick this condo again.

Great house!

We loved our stay at this property! The walk to the ocean was so easy. The double pools were perfect. And the condo is self was so clean, plenty of seating, and a super comfy bed! Already making plans to stay here next year on our annual trip.

Great condo/setup

We had another great year at this condo. The location and setup is great. We are able to make wonderful memories on this beautiful island and to have access to pools and the beach. We love it!!

Wave Loud 105 A/B

We loved the time we spent at Wave Loud!! We got to relax and share an amazing week with our kids and family!! Pools were fantastic and beach access wasn’t too far!! We were close enough to drive over and visit other places too. We enjoyed a day at the Navarre pier fishing and took the kids to visit aviation museum at Pensacola!!!! It was a great location and Dauphin island is such a cute little town!!! Beds were super comfortable and the outdoor balcony area was perfect for just relaxing!!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

This condo is Absolutely Gorgeous and is larger than the pictures. We rented A and B and it was more than enough room for all of us! Pool and Beach are wonderful. Located close to some shops and a few places to eat that you can walk to. The only thing I wish it had was the keyless entry but that is the only thing it was missing. We will definitely be back and would definitely rent this condo again!!

Beautiful property!! Great location!! Awesome pizza place in walking distance!! We did have 2 complaints. Sliding glass door is extremely hard to open and shut. The second complaint is the distance to walk to the beach but is what it is. Highly recommend this location!!!

Perfect getaway!

We rented both unit A and B for vacation with our good friends. We had two adult couples and 4 children. It was the perfect size and offered plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our stay. The island is beautiful and very laid back. The condo is very updated and offers everything we could have wanted. There is an awesome pizza place just up the road and an ice cream shop. The cinnamon rolls from lighthouse bakery were exceptional. The pools, the beach, the location is everything we could have wanted it to be and more. The checkin and checkout process is so easy! I can’t recommend this property enough. We will most definitely stay here again!

I hoped to reserve the same unit for next year then I was disappointed to see the price increase. The ceiling fans were very dusty and there was hair in the master shower upon arrival. FYI, there is a small crack in the master shower floor that water may create an issue if it goes without repair. This place is wonderfully convenient and spacious.

Great place easy access to the beach

We had a nice time on this trip. However I would suggest buying food from a grocery store and cooking at the rental. Restaurants are really bad we threw away so much food by eating out. We went to about 4 different restaurants and had a bad experience with all 4. Many restaurants are closed due to staffing issues others stop making part of their menu without letting you know during your wait to order. So you waste a lot of time. Other than food issues the rental was a nice place

The condo is very nice. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and all sorts of cooking needs. I was impressed about that. The beds are extremely comfortable. Overall a great VRBO. The negative is the sliding glass doors need replaced and are extremely hard to move. I had to get my husband to open and close it. Plus we had a group with 8 kids above us and they ran down the halls until after midnight. The property managers would not go talk to them about this either which was quite disturbing as I felt like it was his job.

I'm sorry about the issues you had regarding the guest in another property. I'm not sure if you are aware, however all the condos are separately owned. If you would have contacted the front desk, they would have been able to address the issue on the loud noise so late. I'm sorry this was not shared with you. Thank you for choosing DIBR

Nicely furnished condo with plenty of room

Great layout and condo was nicely furnished. Problem was with the cleaning people. This condo needs a thorough cleaning. Floor looked like it had not been vacuumed or mopped in ages. Grandkids feet were black after walking on floor. Called and complained and management company was there the next morning. This condo was perfect for our family though. If I knew that they addressed the cleaning issue I would definitely go back.

Fall Break October 2021

Our 5th time back on the island didn’t disappoint! Weather was perfect. This condo has been the best we stayed in. 4 adults and 3 kids had plenty of space to “just chill”! Mattresses are great, furniture is all new (and supportive!). Kitchen has spices, a blender , HUGE air fryer and plenty of bowls, etc. Used the second fridge for all the beverages which was also great. We did purchase some WD-40 for the patio door bc the bearings are corroded but that helped a lot. Littles and older family still struggled with the weight of the door. Some building work caused the AC discharge to back up in the utility closet but it was already being addressed upon our arrival and was fixed in just a few hours. Internet is a bit slow - so multiple streamers might battle it out but we are there to unwind. Will be coming back here AGAIN!

Tried a new beach

The property is very spacious. The hot water heater went out on one side and it was replaced while we were there. When the plumber hit the breaker for the water heater, he turned off the air conditioners to both sides. We had to call Dave back out. The number we text was a little rude, but Dave saved the vaycay! He gave us his number and told us to communicate directly with him, which made the issues a little less stressful. It was nice having 2 pools. They were amazingly never crowded and everyone seemed happy and friendly at the resort. There is a hodge podge (sp?) of dishes. We had to go back and forth between both units to get everything we needed. There was also quite a bit of beach things on the back deck. Most of it was trash and unusable. Loved having a gate to get in and out of the pool and made it a little closer to beach access. The ocean water was not as clear as I would like, but it was fun watching LOTS of crabs crawling around. As far as the island as a whole, it closes early for the most part. We were also suprised to find out you need to make reservations as the few places that there are and the limited hours of operation make restaurants very busy. Another thing I would have liked to have known is that the island prefers cash. You save over 4 % in most places if you use cash. I don't typically travel with a lot of cash, so that was a bummer.
