Quiet community

We decided to go to Jamestown to visit the Comedy Hall of Fame. We decided on this condo and community as it was near the lake. Also was close to wine country on Lake Erie. Both were worth the visit. The owner Samuel was very helpful during our stay plus giving us suggestions for Dinning out.

Not what we thought

Upon arrival we were greeted by a great staffer then everything changed when we opened the door to our rental. First AC was not working, TV was not working and the disposal. There were large gouge marks in the 1970’s vinyl flooring in entry and Kitchen area and the bathroom vinyl flooring was pulling away from the walls and tub and on either side of the toilet. The refrigerator is old and has ice so thick it’s pushing on the freezer door. The carpet is soiled. I am not the only one who had problems with this unit, the complaints go back to 2018. The bed was great, The location was good. This unit sadly shows lack of updates and care. I will not be using Vrbo again.

Hi Anthony, the right vacation home is everything and we are disappointed this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner following your stay and they wanted to share the following: - We confirmed the A/C is operating per the on-site Condo Management Office. They have ensured, once notified, that the A/C controls are in working order and that the backup ceiling fan is ready for use as well. - The on-site management also replaced the cable on the TV to restore operation. In addition, as of 6/14, we ordered a Deluxe Cable Package to expand the range of options. - The onsite team was not aware of your disposal & refrigerator/ freezer concerns and are reviewing each as well as re-auditing the cleaning standards to ensure they meet expectations. - The flooring & carpet is the original and is pictured on the listing. The unit is regularly cleaned prior to and after each guest reservation by the onsite housekeeping team. The decor and furnishings are Traditional in Style and are accurately depicted, as displayed in the current photos. We are sorry they are not to your taste. We have been renting this unit from 2006 through 2021 and the unit has delivered a high guest satisfaction rate during those years, but we are always looking for ways to improve the Guest Experience and appreciate your taking the time to provide your feedback.
