Aren’t too many nice places in Richwood but this place was spacious and clean. And if you’re here for the Ramp Festival then you’re right next door to the Community Building where the ramp feed happens.
The property owner was great and accommodating. The property has the cabin feel perfectly situated in the small friendly town, between Summersville and Cass, one direction falls, glades, Cass Scenic Railroad, and Snowshoe. In the other direction Rail Express, and Adventures on the Gorge. So many small friendly towns and trails to walk.
Owner was unbelievably nice even know we were a bit loud during our stay. One of my friends left a pair of clothes they offered to mail them out . One of the best hosts ever !

Disliked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Horrible Location and horrible living space
The location of this home is not only very difficult to find, especially with limited cell service, but the surrounding area is run down and quite frankly felt unsafe at night. The home itself smelled horrible!!!! Plug ins overwhelmingly tried to hide the mustiness. The beds, all of them were unfit to sleep on. You could feel the coils on all of them. The living space was thrown together with old uncomfortable couch and two chairs. The only television was small. I can’t comment on the kitchen except there was no disposal. The outdoor space overlooked run down homes and junked properties. I left the next morning and drove straight back to NC for the same price we stayed in luxury. This property needs an overhaul before I would ever recommend.

Response from VrboOwner on 9 Sept 2022
Christine, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We encourage guests to reach out to us while they are in residence with any issues so that we can address any concerns quickly for a most comfortable stay
-We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home before booking, but we apologize that this caught you off guard
-The rural location of this property is part of its charm but, unfortunately, means that wifi and cell service can occasionally be slow
-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences
-Since a sink garbage disposal isn’t available at our cabin, we don’t market it as an amenity in the listing
-We use local, professional photographers to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property - including the adjacent river and city park
-Our surrounding community is still in the process of recovering after a flood, and restoration efforts are still underway
-We have two outdoor cameras, as detailed in the property description to help ensure your safety when staying with us
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!

Very nice and well furniture
We had everything we needed, close to everything. We loved hearing the river that is right Infront of the house. We had fun at the Cherry River Fest. We tried the escape room but didn't make it out in time. Oakford dinner and pool room was great food. The Whistle punk grill was also very good.
