Beautiful home in a great location
Our stay for a family of 6 was very comfortable with lots of different spaces to spread out. The home was clean and had lots of amenities in the kitchen. The location was terrific for walking to nearby restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend.

Oak Park
Previously stayed at this location as it’s close (walking distance) to family members’ home as well as the many restaurants in Oak Park. Plenty of space, beds were comfortable and parking right outside the door.
The pictures don’t do the property justice. This home is your home away from home. It’s very spacious including a full kitchen with everything you need to cook, should you decide to do so. If not, you are walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. The home was very clean and very comfortable in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It was a pleasure to stay in this home!
Beautiful home
Lovely neighborhood
Fabulous location
Clean
Well appointed
No Guest Contact
Driveway is too narrow for a standard SUV or larger vehicle
Needed some attention to detail:
Broken chair in dining room
Slow drains in upstairs bath
We had such a lovely time in this home. It was tastefully decorated, clean and had everything we needed and then some. Our family had plenty of space and enjoyed our time thoroughly. It wasn’t too far away from Chicago but far enough away from the hustle, bustle and the city noise. Home is situated in a quaint neighborhood, that was safe, quiet and comfortable. Grocery stores near by that allowed us to stock up on meals and snacks easily. Will definitely be back on our next trip. Thank you for opening this lovely home to our family, made some wonderful memories here.

Oak Park Stay
It's a beautiful house in an even more lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed it. I would warn future customers that the bedrooms are all on the second floor as well as the bathroom. If you're older that's not the best. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't care.
clean, had what you needed. Unless I'm crazy though it's only 1 bathroom not 2. You need to fix that on the listing, that could have been problematic but worked out as this trip we only had 4 of us, two kids and were mostly out of the house. Location is walking to many great restaurants, a coffee/breakfast place, the train to downtown, a park. Beds were good, kitchen good. Only TV is in the sunporch but internet was good. Was very clean.

GAS LEAK
gas leak at property, terrible communication with property manager. House was not cleaned to standards and money paid to stay there. Old coffee grounds in the coffee pot. Shared driveway with neighbor, must park in the street and pay for parking. I’m in contact with the property company to handle issues

We booked this home as it was close to our daughter’s home in Oak Park, even though it was bigger than we needed. We were very comfortable there, and especially enjoyed the cozy sunroom, extremely comfortable master bed with super soft bedding, the living area with big stone fireplace, and cozy breakfast area overlooking the backyard. The home was in a classy Chicago neighborhood on a tree lined street and within walking distance of playgrounds, the library, and multiple restaurants, including great bakeries. The only negative was parking, which is fairly typical in Chicago. There was a driveway and a garage, at the house but were unusable. We have a minivan and it was way too tight for comfort, so we ended up parking on the street which wasn’t ever a problem, but there was a charge of seven dollars per night after the first three nights. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed for meal preparation and even baking muffins for my granddaughter’s class. We were able to have our family over for dinner and the house accommodated everyone very well. The property manager was extremely responsive to my questions, but there were no issues. In the pictures on the Verbo site, the backyard shows a kids playhouse with a slide. Unfortunately, the play yard goes with the house next-door, which I didn’t realize and was hoping for my granddaughters. We look forward to returning and would definitely stay here again.
The hot water heater went out our first morning and the owner was hard to get a hold of. Did not get fixed on the first day and when it was supposed to be. We got up the 2nd day and decided to leave. The management company was even worse. Their refund was horrible. I had to pay for another hotel room for 2 nights and my refund wasn't even half of what I paid for this house. Spent more money because of the hotel. Only got a full refund of the 2 days I didn't stay there. The 1 night I arrived late and the day I had to stay out of the house all day because it was going to be fixed that day, I didn't even get a 50% refund of.
And the driveway was not described correctly at all. The neighbor's window hangs out onto the driveway -- so weird. You can't pull any vehicle back in the driveway. Maybe a very small car, but thats it. We had to park both of our vehicles on the side of the road.
I do not recommend staying at this house. The management company they use was terrible and didn't work with me on the refund that I felt I deserved.
Selected this space primarily for its location and accommodations. This area of Oak Park is in a good location for walking along the streets and seeing amazing homes built pre and post 1900 not to mention the Frank Lloyd Wright area and easy access to restaurants and shopping
The location was perfect for visiting family in River Forest. The house was plenty big for our group of 6 (even with 1 1/2 bathrooms!) Our host was very responsive and friendly. It was a great stay!

Big but cozy
We really appreciated the space on the ground floor and the 4 bedrooms, especially the bright sunny master bedroom. The kitchen was great and we loved the breakfast room. Even though it's a big house, the heating system kept us nice and warm (yeah, we cranked it up to 73, but put it back to 68 when we left ;)). Perfect for a family of 4 and the location is ideal for Oak Park.
