Rose Cabin @ MareGold Centre with expansive views of the Bay of Fundy

The Rose Cabin is our largest building with over 500 square feet of space. 100% barrier-free this cabin has a panoramic view of the MareGold fields, Point Prim lighthouse, and the Bay of Fundy beyond. Made from local Hemlock beams the high ceiling and large windows give a modern feel to this cabin. A large deck affords a private place to sit and watch the best sunsets in Nova Scotia. Includes; Kitchenette with a small fridge and two burner cook-top. Queen bed, full accessible shower, and bathtub. Parking less than 40 feet from the door of the Cabin. The MareGold Centre property is completely non-smoking. All Cabins, grounds, trails, gardens, and all outside and interior locations.


The MareGold Centre is a place to enjoy sunsets and quiet. Guests come here to unplug and enjoy the moment - this energy permeates throughout the property. None of the cabins has TVs and only one has internet. This is a place to be still, respectful and to connect with nature.

Wonderful place with magnificent view!!!

Great relaxing place. Super nice owners and very helpful. The view on the Bay of Fundy is just out of this world! Very quiet. In the Annapolis area so lots of historical sites to visit. And the views on the Bay are great along Granville road.

Beautiful cabin in stunning location

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Rose Cabin. Russel was a great host and did a very informative check-in. The cabin is beautiful, very clean and well equipped. We loved the ocean view and exploring the property. Perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful time!

If you want a unique experience, this is the place! Lovely hand built cottage with amazing views. Incredible setting on acres of land with unique cabins, a cliffside view deck, and a pond. Host Russell was delightful. Be sure to visit his bookstore in Annapolis Royal.

Serenity Now

Our stay in Rose Cabin was exactly what we expected and more. The cabin itself was clean and homey. The views and the land were stunning along with the sunsets and night skies. Its location was perfect and we were able to visit the small towns surrounding us but just being at the cabin was perfect; serene and peaceful. Russell was welcoming and helpful. Five stars all the way.

Cozy and Peaceful

I don't want to leave a perfect review, because then it will be harder to get a reservation! I stayed on Rose Cabin for a week, and it was the perfect spot to rest, write, and contemplate the changing sky. The cabin is simply but tastefully furnished with welcome amenities like a warming rack for towels and a seat in the shower. It is also outfitted for older people and/or the differently abled, with a wheelchair ramp and railing in the bathroom -- thoughtful and unusual touches. I arrived to flowers on the table and a stunning afternoon sky. I can't wait to return and explore the places I missed, this go-round, because the cabin was so homey, I didn't want to leave. This is a little piece of paradise.

MareGold Retreat is run by Russell and Maryna Floren and the twins Venezia and Nikolai.
All the cabins are built by Russell who was a filmmaker and book publisher for 20 years. Maryna is an active medical herbalist and runs workshops, and classes, and sees patients through her herbal health business. Original from Ukraine; The family speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian.

When we saw this property with its almost kilometer-long coastline we knew this place was for us. The only thing here was an abandoned old farmhouse and overgrown fields - we built everything - trails, gardens, structures, put water and power, and brought back the fields.

There are no TVs on the property, and only one cabin has internet, providing a perfect environment for reflection and rest.
