An elegant abode

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully modernized older property. Two couples staying together can enjoy the large sunny living room, with its comfortable furniture and evening sunlight. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, but there are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The bedrooms are fine, and totally quiet at night. We would certainly stay here again if visiting the area.

Great apartment, beautiful location, gracious host

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful 2-day stay in August. Anita went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and provided tons of local tips on things to do in the area. The apartment was bright and very clean and nicely decorated with stunning views of the harbor. Everything you could need is within a short walk. We definitely appreciated the breakfast supplies and bottle of wine upon our arrival. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat- just have to figure out how to get back to Nova Scotia sometime.

Well appointed apartment with a great view!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The apartment was

absolutely perfect and everything is so comfortable that it

truly felt like a home away from home. Thanks also for the

tip about getting lobsters from Parkers Cove - we had a

fantastic drive along the shore road there and then picked

up delicious lobsters and scallops for dinner, and we really appreciated that the kitchen was really well equipped, so that cooking was just as easy as home...not always the case with vacation rentals. All in all we had a great time and hopefully we will have an

opportunity to come back and enjoy this beautiful part of

the world again in the future.

In 2004, the United Nations Environment Program called Annapolis Royal 'the most livable' small town in the world. It was selected for the beauty of its landscape and the attention it gives to local heritage and the environment. The town of 525 was the site of the first permanent European settlement in Canada.

Located on the shore of the Annapolis River, Annapolis Royal dates back to 1629. It was the capital of Acadia and then Nova Scotia for more than 100 years until the founding of Halifax in 1749.

Today Annapolis Royal plays host to visitors from all over the world. Old and new exist side by side--the largest tidal power project in the world down the way from the fort that stood guard over the river for both the British and French at different times in its history.

This small corner of Nova Scotia houses world-class craftspeople and artists showing their wares at the summer market. Restaurants and shops dot the main street, just steps away from Wilf's Place. Come and stay in wonderful Annapolis Royal!
