We stayed at this lovely home five nights. My husband and I were in the upstairs loft bedroom and my daughter and her fiance' were in the basement bedroom. The loft room had a beautiful view out front, great deal of space, large hidden tv, storage, sitting area, and sliding door that led to a small deck with a chair facing the trees. The ensuite was roomy with a large shower with a rain showerhead and heavy handheld with good water pressure and lots of windows with a forested view (with draw curtains). It was a very inviting space with nice touches that made it feel like home. The king bed was comfortable with a supportive mattress and perfect pillows.
My daughter said the bed in the basement was kind of like a Murphy bed and was "ok". There was also what I believe was a toddler bed in the large room. Bathroom and shower in the basement were great. The "recroom" in the basement was comfortable and useful with sitting area with tv, gym equipment, pool table, and walkout with a nice view.
There were thoughtful and lovely touches throughout the large home. We were very comfortable. Plenty of dishes, silverware, and pots and pans in the kitchen. It was nice to have two sinks. Plenty of toilet tissue for our stay, but no facial tissues or paper towels. There is a cute general store close-by with hit and miss supplies. The deck is wonderful and it was so nice to sit out by the outdoor table and enjoy a morning cup of coffee while listening to the loons and watching the mist on the lake. It is a very pretty setting, and even though there were other homes on our side of the lake as well as the other side, we felt quite secluded. My daughter and her fiance' used the kayaks, but not the canoe. Her fiance' (who is an Eagle scout) said the canoe paddles were too short to do much good. There were some fishing poles in the corner. There was a fire ban, but we were ok to use the propane grill and fire pit.
The two bedrooms on the main floor looked comfortable. There was an iron and ironing board in the closets. It is a bit of a trek up and down to the lake, but it's beautiful and worth it. I loved being up on a hill - the view was gorgeous. 4-wheel drive came in handy on the narrow gravel road up to the house. We saw two deer and four fawns on the road coming back to the property one evening close to sundown, so be careful when driving. Our stay was perfect. The host was wonderful. I highly recommend this property.
