Silver shells facilities were awesome!
Facility was great! Great location and amenities! Our condo had some wear and tear- could use a fresh coat of paint and cleaning!!
Beautiful unit in a lovely resort atmosphere!
This unit was so clean and bright and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, there was an abundance of towels and soaps. The washer and dryer worked great and so did the dishwasher. The only very minor complaint I had was that the fridge was set so cold it froze some of our produce and we could not figure out how to adjust that. The King sized bed was so comfortable my husband and I slept like babies. We also loved the master bathroom shower and tub...wish it had double sinks though. Love,love, love Silver Shells. We took full advantage of both pools, the exercise facilities, the tennis courts, and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. We cannot wait to come back!!
Love Silver Shells / Property Needed Maintenance
This was our second year to stay at Silver Shells Resort & Spa. We absolutely love this location and prefer to stay here every time we're in Destin. This year we chose to stay in a different building. While we loved the location, liked what we saw online regarding the property, we were disappointed in the overall condition of this condo. The locks on the balcony doors in the living room and the master bedroom did not lock. This concerned me since we were on the 10th floor and have small children. The rod to the blinds in the master had been broken off and we could not open the blinds, there was a hole in the wall above the baseboard in the guest bedroom to the right when you walked in the room. That wasn't a big concern, but still want to mention it. Aside from the locks, the most concerning thing to us was the amount of mold that was present on the bathroom ceiling in the guest bathroom around the vent and the shower. I understand that due to the humidity in Florida, that is bound to happen, however it should be cleaned after weekly walk-throughs. This was not recent mold. When I reported it they didn't seem concerned. The maintenance guys did come one day to fix the master bedroom lock and I mentioned it to them, they said they would come back to clean it and they never did. During checkout, a lady who worked for Compass was there to do a final walk through of the property and I walked her around and showed her everything again even though I reported it all already. I wanted her to know that it had been there the whole duration of our stay-especially the mold! She stated that she had disclosed most of that the week prior and it should have been fixed. Well, it wasn't. I have pictures of all of these things in question should you want to see them. Very disappointing for the amount of money that we paid to stay there. Had everything been functioning properly with no signs of mold-we would have loved this property.
