It was great for our company retreat! Plenty of room for 10 ladies, hot tub was great, fireplace excellent. The view was beautiful and the house/yard had so much privacy- feels like your own little paradise. Definitely plan to return. Host was very responsive when I had a question. Definitely recommend!

What a fun and beautiful property!Fully equipped with everything we needed for a weekend at the lake. Comfortable, clean and FUN! Loved the fire pit, hot tub and lake views. We planned a weekend around UMich football homecoming, and this location was a short 35 minute drive to Ann Arbor and provided a relaxing respite after a busy game day. The host was extremely attentive and even 100% accommodated a special request. We will for sure book again!

Gorgeous home with great views!

The house felt brand new and was clean and nicely appointed. The bedrooms were good sized and there were tvs in every bedroom, which was nice.

Best time!

Great for little kids the water in the middle of the lake in the sand bar! Went boating all days. Loved the hot tub! House was nice. Perfect for what we needed for the family. Grill was easy to use. Fire pit was nice!

Beautiful well kept rental

I rented this cute rental for our family that was coming into town for my daughter's quinceanera, they all loved it and the views. We definitely recommend for anyone looking to visit in the Jackson area. Very clean and well kept. Landscaping was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your home rental.

Family Visit

We love the location the layout and feel of the home. It met our needs and we loved the outdoor patio area fire pit and hot tub. The owner/manager was great to work with and responded very timely. We would recommend this place highly. We gave it 5 stars in every category. You won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay at Gillette’s Lake. The house is well appointed and the landscaping was lovely. The accommodations are great for our family of 6 teens upstairs and parents downstairs plus a room for Gma. Jackson was close for grocery runs. We also visited two blueberry farms that are about 10 minutes away. The lake was shallow but we still rented the owners boat for two days of laid back/slow riding and visiting the sandbar for some play. We went to a bigger lake one day to do some hardcore teen tubing! There is something for everyone here and we felt like we had plenty of room to enjoy a summer week at the Lake. Lynne was a great host and easy to communicate with during and before our visit.

Kinda disappointing

The basics of the house, the yard and the lake view were lovely. The neighborhood and the lake itself were not quite what we expected and found that disappointing. This end of lake is extremely shallow and more of a marsh than a lake to frolic in. When you step in you sink at least 6 in into the muck. Kayaking and being ON the water is nice though. And then you can go to deeper areas as well. This house is definitely not represtative of the area. There's not a Google street view available. It was more like a nice house at the end of the Street with a surrounding trailer park vibe. General house, No batteries or dead batteries in most of the remotes. The block knives were unusable that they were so dull and old. The grill is a situation. Besides, generally trying to get this thing lit being a process, this thing has never been cleaned. The amount of gunk in there started some small fires. The whole thing needs to be disassembled and cleaned. The welcome packet stated the fire extinguisher was under the kitchen sink. It was not. The first aid kit was supposed to be in the laundry room. It was not. But the fire extinguisher was. No first aid kit anywhere. There's zero lighting for these step steps off the deck and it's really dark back there. This caused an issue a few times and many toes. One time bad enough to have us looking for that first aid kit that wasn't there. Big safety issue we were not happy with.

The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:-The lake in this area is naturally shallow, but it's still great for kayaking and exploring deeper sections further out.-While we can't control the neighborhood aesthetics, the surrounding neighbors are friendly, and we've received positive comments about the area from other guests.-We take guest safety seriously. The fire extinguisher and first aid kit may have been moved by a previous guest, but they will be returned to their proper locations immediately.-We apologize for the dead batteries in the remotes, and we’ll ensure they are replaced for future guests.-The knives will be sharpened or replaced to improve their usability.-We’re sorry to hear about the grill, and we’ll have it thoroughly cleaned and inspected to avoid any future issues.-There is lighting at the back of the property, but we apologize if it was difficult to locate.-We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We loved our stay here—the location is beautiful, peaceful, and wonderfully quiet. The hot tub was fantastic and huge, making it the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. The only downside was the large number of geese and swans wandering through the yard, leaving quite a bit of mess behind. It made the outdoor space difficult to use at times. While we know that’s not really the owner’s fault, it was still a bit frustrating.Overall, though, it’s a lovely place, and the serenity plus that amazing hot tub made it a great getaway.

Beautiful house with all the amenities you could ask for. Host was very responsive and helpful during check-in.Amazing backyard with a hot tub, large patio, and grill that is great for a group to relax or enjoy some yard games . 10/10 stay and would absolutely recommend staying here.

Beautiful new house on a beautiful lake

we truly enjoyed staying at this property. It was perfect family get away. Beautiful landscape, fabulous view of the lake. The house has everything you need. We enjoyed the spacious patio with nice dinning table, fire pit, and built-in Grill. The hot tub was awesome, clean and in perfect working condition.
