Suite with a view of the Golden Ears Mountains

Beautiful new 1 bdrm unit with picturesque views of Golden Ears Mountain in a rural mountain setting yet close to all the city amenities.
The suite is a brand new 560 sf unit with stainless steel appliances, laminate/tile flooring, all kitchenware, full bathroom, HE w/d in suite, full HD cable + wifi incl. Parking in driveway or on very quiet safe street. EV charging (L2) available
Full size shower and bathroom, washer/dryer, full stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. HD cable with all the channels, high speed wifi.
We also have a fairly large yard (1/2 acre) that is fenced.
The unit that is for rent is a fully self contained, legal, 1 bedroom suite. It is located in the basement but is a full walk out with 2 very large windows in the living area for light, and a fairly large window in the bedroom. There is lots of natural light in the rental. The suite comes fully outfitted with linens, towels, kitchenware, HD cable and wifi...everything you need to just show up.
The suite fronts onto a large portion of our yard but this is unfenced. Guests are welcome to use this area. The neighbourhood is also great for walking pets, with easy access to nature trails within a short 1/2 block walk away.
This is a very quiet semi rural neighbourhood, with new houses being on either 1 acre or 1/2 acre lots. There are still plenty of 5-10 acre lots around.
We are walking distance to Cliff Falls Park and Kanaka Creek Regional Park, plus some beautiful hiking trails that offer fantastic views of the valley to the north. We are a short drive to Whonnock Lake where weddings are held and there are opportunities for some outdoor recreation(canoes, kayaks, paddle boards).
Pets are permitted on approval; please contact us prior to booking as we do charge a $50 pet cleaning fee and a $200 damage deposit.

Perfect stay near Vancouver

The suite is well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Gorgeous area, just minutes from Golden Ears/lake access. Took us about 54 minutes to drive/catch the earliest ferry from Horseshoe Bay. Easy checkout. Great place to stay!

A quiet getaway

The property is in a quiet neighborhood, and the suite was clean and cozy. Chris, the host, was very nice and offered many recommendations for the area. Great views and access to forested paths are available just a short walk away. It was perfect for our small getaway trip from the big city.

Wonderful Place!

We loved the area this place was in, lots of restaurants. Especially Black Sheep, it's 19 and older and the place is amazing and reasonably priced. The suite was very cute and comfortable. Chris was very helpful and very pleasant. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Great location with nice views

Our stay at this VRBO was very nice and met all of our needs. It is very close to great hiking at Kanaka Creek Falls and Golden Ears Provincial Park, which have beautiful groomed trails. The bed is very comfortable, which was greatly appreciated after each day of hiking. The location is outside of the urban centre but close enough to grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants with a short 5 minute drive.

Peaceful respite from American fireworks

This lovely and very new apartment was a short walk from an extensive park surrounding a creek that flows into the Fraser River. We drove to Canada with our dog to escape days of fireworks. Instead, we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Golden Ears Mountains, trail hikes, and silence - except when we watched Mariners games on the large TV! The host was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Our experience was even better than we'd anticipated.

Home Away From Home

Chris was an excellent landlord. He responded quickly to our requests. The space was as described. It fit us nicely. Chris brought us peaches he had picked. He was available when needed without being intrusive. We were able to store our suitcases and extra stuff in his storage area, which was nice. We would stay here again.
