Everything was as expected and just what the doctor ordered. One side note. The sound barrier between the adjoining unit is almost nonexistent, making neigboring conversations sound as if they werre in the same room. Never a problem as my neighbors went to bed early. I would not hesitate to stay again.
Prophet's Quarters was exactly what we were looking for! Cozy, homey, peaceful and remote. Wanted a getaway that let us explore the outdoors away from the craziness of COVID. This apartment was clean, and well appointed; really had everything you would need and so much nicer than a motel. The bed was comfortable, nice bathroom with lots of hot water, wifi worked great. No TV but we knew that and brought a laptop to watch a show or two before bed. Brought apples and carrots to feed the horses and donkey which was a nice treat! Definitely arrive during the daytime because the property is 2.2 miles off the main road, down a dirt/gravel road that is very steep and hilly (after that we came and went when it was dark). We used Waze and it gave perfect directions. Close to great hiking (Hemmed In Falls/Buffalo River is beautiful). If you do this, go a little further afterwards to Jasper and take in Cliff House Inn restaurant. You're less than an hour away from Bentonville, which is also nice to explore. Ate at Granny's Kitchen and Garibaldi Mexican restaurant in nearby Huntsville, stores/gas stations close by. We highly recommend Prophet's Quarters!
This place was excellent! So clean and cozy. A great place to relax and enjoy the quiet. This will be our go to place when we come back.

Weekend away
Loved the property setting; beautiful area and the animals were an added bonus. The bed was comfortable and the cottage itself was clean but there were spiders in the bed and the tap water was green. Im ok with some bugs in the woods, but both nights there were spiders in the sheets. We did not pack bottled water because we usually rely on tap; it did not smell like well water and there was not indication that it wasnt potable but it was GREEN. The owner was friendly and communication/checkin was easy. We also enjoyed the fire pit.
All in all an ok stay - just a little pricey for rustic and no drinkable water.
Very quaint place for a short getaway. Beautiful countryside. Check in was seamless. Thank you!!!

Peaceful and quiet
I loved my stay there everything was just so nice. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the air conditioner is in the bedroom and it does not keep the living room as cool as I like it. I'm glad that I didn't stay during the heat of the summer. The wi-fi was also erratic but that was not a problem because I was wanting a quiet and peaceful getaway. Overall I recommend this for anyone wanting to get away for a few days or weeks.

Perfect!
The Prophet's Quarters was wonderful. Loved the decor - plaques with scriptures and Christian themes. The Mountain Valley Ranch is totally awesome, and my husband loved being able to talk to the horses. Sky full of stars, almost full moon, crickets chirping, frogs singing, lightning bugs lighting - perfectly peaceful and relaxing. We loved it! Would definitely stay there again! But next time we will bring the pickup for the 2 mile county road in and out (okay with car but have to take it slow), and also other places in Arkansas we would have liked to go but didn't think it wise in our Camry. It seems all Arkansas county roads are gravel. And we like the back roads! :)
