Great place for a weekend getaway for two couples. The unit is split with a bedroom, deck and bathroom upstairs and downstairs. Was perfect for us. The neighborhood was quiet, and we sat on the balcony at night. The thermal deck heaters are a great asset for chilly mountain nights. I would stay here again.

The home was outstanding and met all of our needs. Great location. Only downside, is very steep driveway and might be tricky with snow and ice. Our favorite part was being able to sit out on the covered front porch and watch all the deer. The radiant heaters would allow you to enjoy the outside front porch in cold temperatures. Also loved the fact they had a place to hang snow attire outside on the front porch.

Comfortable roomy house in quiet neighborhood

The house is clean with lots of space and conveniently located to town & surrounding attractions. Kitchen is updated with plenty of cooking & dining supplies. There is not a fenced yard for a pet, only a fenced-in small mostly concrete slab on the side of the garage away from the main house. The front porch steps need attention. Overall, a pleasant place to stay in the pines and fresh air of Ruidoso.

Ups and downs

Since we filtered our search for “wheelchair accessible”, we were shocked at the full flight of stairs required to access the house. Fortunately we are not wheelchair bound,but always look for easy in and out when traveling with our little dog. The listing also mentioned availability of a 2-car garage, which was locked with no access instructions available. Inside the home was very clean and inviting. The kitchen was well equipped. Ample number of nice white towels were available. Beds were comfortable. The issues that we had with equipment were addressed by the property manager. The highlight of our stay was the late afternoon visit by the free roaming elk and deer! We loved watching them and the hummingbirds as we relaxed on the deck.

Great property, just issues were not addressed

We needed a garage and it was advertised as having one. When we arrived, there was no way to get into the garage. We called the maintenance company and told them we needed a garage. They responded with it is broken and there is nothing they could do. We called in two maintenance items we found the first day and they said they were going to fix them. There was no communication after they said they came to fix them. Both items were not fixed during our stay. There were other issues with the property, but it seemed pointless to call them in.
