The property itself was perfectly fine for our family. We appreciated that it was clean and well-maintained and having the extra bed options with the Murphy bed and cot since the beds in the 2 rooms were only queen sized. What was disappointing was the location- the neighborhood had some very run down properties nearby with aggressive off-leash dogs that made for dog walks with my dog not pleasant. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting my kids roam around the area unsupervised.

This property gets 3-stars ONLY because the accommodations were nice, new and exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable and the internet was good. However, it didn't have ANY of the extra touches we've experience in the many vacation rentals we have stayed at. It was very "sterile" and did not have a "home away from home" or "cozy" feeling. Examples: No "Keurig" coffee maker, bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms needed a rug on the floor, no Kleenex, linens were very low-end, especially the sheets and pillows. There was NOT a covered patio - it was 2 chairs and a small table on the sidewalk leading to the front door and it faced the side of the twin property next door. The real disappointment, however, was the location, which was a "trailer trash" environment. The adjoining properties were pretty junky with large vicious dogs, who barked quite a bit. We did not feel comfortable to go for walks. When we arrived and opened the door, we looked up at a massive stairway with narrow, steep steps - 20 of them. We are in our 70's and these stairs were not mentioned anywhere in the property information, so needless to say lugging our items/groceries up was difficult at best. There was a small barbeque in the garage, but to use it you had to open the garage door and move it out onto the gravel driveway. We come to Florence several times each year and unfortunately this place is a one and done!

Florence Visit

Great accommodations, clean and comfortable. Not easy to communicate with host, but partly our fault.

Incredible vacation!

It was great staying at your home. It was so clean and very comfortable. One thing we needed was a pizza cutter and couldn’t find one. Also- it would have been great to have a cooler to borrow being as we were coming from MN by plane. Thank you!

Property itself was cute but there were some housekeeping issues and a water leak issue that were reported to the host that were never responded to.

There were only two things That were good. Best were the nice wine glasses and cocktail glasses. The internet service was very good. From there it goes downhill. Driving into the property was a total disappointment. I did not expect lakefront property, but I also did not expect that the twin rental properties would be located in what is essentially a "trailer trash" environment. The adjoining properties were pretty junky. Cell service was marginal. Testing worked fine, and for some reason morning calls came through but nothing after noon. I would have to go outside to make calls. We came prepared to stay about a month, thus, luggage was appropriate for that period. When we opened the door, we looked up at a massive stairway to the stars. Narrow steps, and a lot of them. it took a while to get stuff in place. The downstairs consisted of two single garages. One was a sitting area with a TV. The other side had a pool table set up. We did not use either, except to store golf clubs. The water had a strange test, which we covered up with some flavored powder. As far as family friendly, I would say, maybe for a kid or two, but no extra adults. There was a second bedroom which had a full size bed, but we just used it to lay out clothes, and a place to dress. There was a Murphy Bed in the living room, but if one used it, it would have crowded the kitchen table, and limit moving around.Bottom line, if you are seniors, the stairs are a problem, but you did get your exerce.
