It rained a few days and there was a riptide for a few others so having the wonderful view and large slide window doors made a huge difference in our experience.

Location is great. Management responded promptly to our multiple concerns. Would recommend someplace for renters to store non perishable food items and about a third of the patio has things either left or stored there so non-usable space. We did have to sweep the porch before we could sit out there.

Great Getaway for Two

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely beautiful condo! One bedroom, ocean front with great views. Décor was done with great thought. Insets in pantry, bathroom and closet made easy way to put your personal items on the shelf and out of the way. The patio was so comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen has all updated appliances and love the selection of coffeemakers too. The condo and surroundings were very well taken care of and even the beach was nice and clean. No worries of trash or peoples pets leaving their deposits. You can rent bikes right across the street and I also thought that the traffic when crossing the street was very pedestrian friendly. The management was very helpful if you had any questions. This condo would be great for two people or even if you had young children. I do want to add that the pictures of condo are accurate.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th visit to the 30A and stay at one of the Emerald Hill Condos.Our condo overlooked the beach and gave us a magnificent view of the sunrise, sunset and the Gulf . It was a delightful respite from the usual everyday chores . The condo was comfortable made us feel relaxed and rested and sad to have to leave. But we were rested for our trip home.

The only complaint I have is that you could tell the floors weren’t cleaned and the tables by the couch were very dusty. Also, the doors were extremely hard to open/close and the blinds barely did anything due to many of them missing and not closing all the way. Even with this issue we will still be back!

We did use a few items that we hand wash..

Reviewer Comments: took two 15 year old grandchildren for their first experience on the gulf. They had to sleep on the floor the whole week, because the sofa that was advertised as pull out, didn't pull out anything. Very dissappointed that have to pay $3000 for unit and have to sleep on floor. Otherwise the unit was fine. We have used Benchmark a lot in the past with great results, this was the first time we got a dud condo.

Not much bang for your buck

While this place is in a beautiful location there is so much not right with this condo We were met with a very moldy old smell did not seem clean at all I put a sheet over the couch as I was afraid to sit on it the rug was dirty as well also dirty dishes that had been put up this place needs a serious upgrade so many extension cords and I had to move things around to get the coffee maker hooked up Most times we can see past certain things and take it in stride and never post bad reviews but this I could not for the amount of money we paid while the view was nice the patio was also filthy we had to clean it off before we could sit on it Also the shower head never worked right and the shower curtains were dirty as well

There was a family of rats skittering around outside coming and going from the left side of the grassy area. This made me suspect of every sound I heard inside. The view was awesome - just difficult to enjoy when every sound made you jump. Some texts were not responded to: parking pass and code to the gate to get to the beach. Had to go out the sliding doors; therefore leaving unit unsecured.

Love this place!

I have stayed at Emerald Hill 1 several times, and I love it. It’s comfortable, in a great location, and spacious for a one-bedroom condo. The only suggestion I have is to put some grab bars in the bathroom to make getting in and out of the tub a great deal safer.
