We stayed here for 9 days, and loved the property! It's right on the water, with a perfect view of breaks with surfers and boogie boarders there every day, so constant entertainment (or you can join them from the beach right next door (not great for swimming though)). The location is within easy walking distance to town. The kitchen is well-stocked, including a blender and a drip coffee maker (there's a small coffee bean electric mill in the cabinet above the microwave if you bring beans). They also supply 2 beach chairs and a small cooler for your outings. The mattress was firm with no dips, and there are mini-splits in both the living area and bedroom to control temperature separately (or you can open the lanai door and front door and let the breeze come through). There's also ceiling fans in each room. We were there during the Lala hurricane (no big deal on that side of the island), and communicating with the host was quick and seamless. We would definitely stay there again!

Wow! Best description for an impressive location, comfortable accommodation, and a host with great communication! We enjoyed every meal on the lanai with the waves crashing! Everything in perfect working order- kitchen, bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Pool and hot tub awesome. Parking convenient. We didn’t want to leave!

We just wrapped up a 7-night stay and honestly didn't want to leave. The ocean view from the lanai is 10/10—we caught a spectacular sunset every night when it wasn't raining.The location is super convenient; we loved being able to just walk over to the shops and restaurants nearby. Plus, if you're into snorkeling, there’s an awesome beach just a few miles down the road.A huge thanks to our host (Shannon)! She was so kind and made everything easy, from the quick check-in info to some great local recommendations. If you're looking for a chill spot with amazing views, this is it.

Absolutely exceptional! I couldn't recommend this place enough. Wonderful location (walkable to downtown restaurants and shops) and an incredible apartment that's extremely clean with two great A/C units as well and a truly stunning water view from the balcony. I would definitely come back!

Great place!

Kona Christmas

Love Kona Reef we stay here every year. This particular unit had everything we needed and was very clean, updated and comfortable. Highly recommend this unit!

Beach front perfection

Shannon’s place was amazing!!! I never wanted to leave the Lanai!!! The town is so close too! We will definitely be back!

Lovely condo! Comfortable, with all you need! The location and view are unbeatable! The pool and grounds were an added bonus! Easy to communicate with the owner. Would stay here again!

Great stay

We booked this on short notice because our dissatisfaction with the Marriott in Waikoloa. Overlooking the water, well equipped, great location close to Kailua/Kona/all amenities. Cannot recommend this home more highly. Hope to return in ‘25.

Amazing View

This rental is in a perfect location within walking distance to shops and restaurants! Our favorite spot was on the lanais watching surfers, dolphins, whales and sunsets. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed for cooking or washing clothes. I would highly recommend this location for your next vacation!!

Top-notch experience

This was such an amazing place to begin our Big Island vacation! We spent three nights and wished it could be more. Clean, stocked, quick responses from management, fantastic location. It's just as wonderful as the pictures make it look and I can't recommend this place highly enough. I still dream of the sunsets on the Lanai.

Fabulous condo and great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has a nice hot tub, pool and BBQ area. It is located right on the water and the view from the lanai is beautiful. You can walk to a number of restaurants and shops. The condo itself is spacious and has all the needed amenities such as beach chairs, snorkel equipment and a cooler. It was great having air conditioning, a dishwasher, and washer and dryer. We also appreciated the very clear instructions provided by the owner.

Ocean experience

The best part about this condo is the lanai that is right next to the ocean. You can't beat the sound of the waves and the unobstructed view. The rest of the condo is comfortable and wonderful too.

Paradise in Kona

A perfect place to enjoy your holiday!

I’ve stayed in this complex many times. Shannon’s condo is updated and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. You can’t beat the sound of the waves, and communicating with Shannon is so easy. She’s a great hostess. It’s a lovely place to unwind, and to make a base for your big island adventures. I’ll be back!

Just like the picture

Yes. The listing really is the view from the lanai. We left the doors open and slept with the sound of the waves. The unit is lovely and it’s an easy walk to Kona attractions. We would gladly stay here again.

We had wonderful stay at Shannon's condo! Beautiful views of the ocean, private, peaceful, and she has everything you might need for your vacation. Condo was clean and bright. The bed and hide-a-bed were very comfortable. During our trip we saw dolphins, whales, and a monk seal! Thank you Shannon! Angie and Vince

Great Condo!

We absolutely loved this condo. The lanai is so nice for morning coffee and sea turtle watching and evening happy hour sunsets. It is a comfortable place with AC when needed yet ocean breezes as well. We walked to all our restaurants and parking is easy. The TV was great (didn’t use it much…because…lanai) with all the apps and streaming capability. The pull out couch is comfortable We’ll be back. Mahalo!!

We recently bought the condo in 2021 and feel so very thankful to have been able to purchase here at the Kona Reef! We lived in Alaska for 18 years so needless to say, came in search of the sun regularly! Recently, while here in Kona on a golf trip, we took the leap and purchased here in the beautiful town of Kona. My name is Shannon and I will be hosting this site. Currently my family and I live in Idaho where I work as a registered nurse.
