Wake up to 180 degrees of unobstructed ocean front view from your own lanai, watch the surfers on the waves, migrating whales (in seasons) & dolphins or spot our resident sea turtles – there is no reason to leave your own piece of paradise.

This recently updated, 2 bed/2bath penthouse has everything that you’d need for a perfect get away. Enjoy top floor view and privacy without having to navigate stairs – this complex has elevator service. Keyless entry means no more worries of losing keys going out to the beach. Other in unit conveniences include Wi-Fi connection, cable TV, bluetooth speaker, air conditioning in living area and in unit washer/dryer.

This is the perfect place to explore it from, just a twenty minute drive from the Kona airport. Spectacular view

We were mesmerized by the beautiful view and the sounds of the ocean waves. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was in working order. The location is very convenient for enjoying Kona and exploring historic sites

Relax!!

Very nice property. Host was very kind and let us check in a bit early. Love having the bedroom next to the crashing waves. A little far from the elevator being on the forth floor. Might think about putting a little shampoo bottle in the bathrooms.

Family Get-A-Way in Paradise

Great condo with spectacular ocean views. Condo was clean and well furnished. The family enjoyed our 10 days in paradise. It was relaxing waking up to the sound of gentle waves crashing onto the lava rocks. Evening sunsets were gorgeous.

Short visit with Ohana (one night) 4th story right on the water, older building but well appointed. Quite nice!

Beautiful ocean view

The location was ideal for us, and was a beautiful view! We had a great stay, the property was clean, well organized and the check in was easy. Pool looked clean and refreshing, although we did not have an opportunity to utilize it. Our only want, a bit more of a selection of pots/ skillets, and cooking utensils… but everyone is different. We would definitely recommend and would visit again if our travels bring us back to the area.

Mother Daughter trip

We had a wonderful time together. We watched sunrises and sunsets daily as we prepared to go on excursions. The big island has so much to offer and it was truly a wonderful experience. The condo was clean and perfect for our family of four.

Spectacular view!

What a perfect way to spend a vacation. We slept with the door open to the balcony and slept to the sound of the ocean. The condo was clean, comfortable and in a great location.

Great location

Perfectly located to watch sea turtles in the rocks! Plus the sunsets from the lanai... awe! The unit was comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen.

Very nice accommodations, location, and views. Property manager was friendly, and helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area. Would stay there again.

Beautiful waterfront condo

Fantastic views with a nice lava cove plus some sandy beach. The best of both with seeing turtles and tropical fish. Great view of the sunset and moonset. The best part is the view from the living room and master bed is of the ocean! Awesome!

Perfect View

We loved our stay here!! The whole place is perfect but the balcony views were a 10/10. We had our breakfast out there, enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, and fish/turtle watching. The main room was also another favorite because we slept with the balcony glass door open and we were able to hear the crashing waves which was so nice to sleep to. Overall we had an amazing time :)

Property just ok

Place was clean and accomodated us, view was good, no real beach and amenities were just ok, pool etc. On busy road, so no real place to walk along beach etc. if you are looking for that, look elsewhere.

Nice property

Would book again. Clean and attractive unit with a fantastic location. Comfortable bed and pillows. Slept well listening to the waves. Showerhead converts to hand held which is always a plus. Good communication with host.

Framily Vacation

Great condo and complex. Right on the ocean. Loved hearing the waves all night and waking up to coffee on the lanai watching surfers. First day even saw turtles by the rocks. Easy drive to the shops and restaurants. Very relaxed vibe

The location of the property was amazing! The set up of the unit was very nice however, the one ac unit did not serve the entire unit at all. It was super hot even in the main bedroom which the ac unit was nearest. The second bedroom never cooled off the entire stay which was very disappointing when trying to sleep.

Great Location

This was a wonderful short stay. We saw whales and turtles. The fourth floor view was fantastic! Luckily we did find the elevator in the middle of the complex before hauling our luggage up four flights of stairs. We really enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise, and 5pm Happy Hour watching the beautiful sunset!

The condo was beautiful as was the view.

We loved that there was an abundance of beach towels, and sunscreen available to us. Having the ice chest and blue ice was fantastic! And because it was unusually hot and humid, the air conditioning unit came in quite handy! Also the availability to the owners was prompt and always helpful!

Carolyn and Aart have been married for more than thirty years and have two grown sons. Carolyn is a native of Vietnam and Aart of The Netherlands. Carolyn is a consultant for a large German software company and Aart is a Presbyterian pastor also trained as a counselor. Carolyn likes to bake and travel and Aart likes to write books and be out in nature. They both like kayaking on the ocean although still have to work out who gets to be captain when they do. They enjoy the tropical fruits available on the Big Island and predict that between the two of them, they can keep the fruit orchards in business for a while. Carolyn's favorite are longans and Aart's the local papayas and rambutans. They love the natural diversity of the Big Island and the friendliness of the people and are fascinated by the Hawaiian culture that developed along the Kona Coast.

After having lived around a decade in South East Asia & traveled extensively around the world, Aart & Carolyn realize that they have always felt the pull of the tropics and the sea. With their hectic life style, they felt having a place to retreat to & decompress will provide the work life balance they need. They chose the Big Island because of its space, cultural history and natural diversity and the best and most affordable tropical fruits! This condo ticked all their boxes.

The view and proximity to the ocean, a location that is close to town yet quiet are among the advantages of Kona Bali Kai. A safe supervised beach for snorkeling (Kahaluu) is also a plus as is the Keauhou shopping center. The unit is quiet and you feel that you are there by yourself. You don't have to go anywhere to have the sights, sounds, smells and feel you're looking for.
