This is a superb place to stay! Very clean and walking distance to all activities in Amsterdam. Short Uber drive from the airport and to the museums…. I can not say enough about how accommodating Evert was with our stay. He is so very nice and even helped us with our luggage. The bed was so comfortable with luxury linens. Plenty of coffee, tea, beer, and wine.

Our host Evert was a joy. He helped us with our bags and even showed me how to the laundry. The location was perfect, lots to do and see in the neighborhood and very close to the train station.

This was the perfect place for me and my adult daughter to stay while exploring Amsterdam. It was beautiful and fun to stay in such a historic building on the canal. Very Clean, comfortable and well equipped, near Centraal station. Easy to get around either walking or by transportation. Evert was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful with check in and check out. Would highly recommend this beautiful apartment.

Beautiful place to stay!

We were extremely happy with our stay here! Everything was just as described! Check in was easy, host was welcoming and kind. Room was clean and spacious with beautiful views! Location was great - within walking distance of the train and plenty of things to do! Would highly recommend and would love to stay again someday!

This beautiful room could not have been more perfect for our visit to Amsterdam. Clean, comfortable and filled with old world charm. The location was central to everything and our host went out of his way to make sure we had all we needed. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you Evert!

Fantastic host, great location.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was very central and convenient. Evert greeted us on arrival, carried our heavy bags up the winding staircase, explained the area and the town to us, and provided us with ample supplies of coffee, tea, juice and a number of “goodies”. We left early in the morning but Evert was there again to carry our bags down and say good-bye. A great host.

Just...perfect...

We had a wonderful time and found the place to be a remarkable alternative to a traditional hotel room. Felt a bit like stepping back in time. Loads of books and comfortable seating. Perfect location to experience Amsterdam and we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Will be back for sure.

Exploring Amsterdam

Our stay at the Canal House was just what we had envisioned!! Perfectly located near everything that we wanted to see and do and the accommodations were perfect; quiet, clean, and comfortable!!Evert was a great host there if we needed anything but did not try to be part of our experience.The only challenging thing is the stairs to the 2nd floor apartment, alone they are fine with luggage it is a test of strength and balance, but the trip up is more than worth the effort.

This room is spacious, beautiful and peaceful. It’s perfectly situated to enjoy the Jordaan neighborhood of Amsterdam. The host is kind and responsive. There is a steep winding staircase with small steps to get to it that will be an impediment to some potential users. My daughter and I LOVED it.

Great Spot for the Amsterdam Vibe

The studio is exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Evert is an excellent host; welcoming, very responsive and eager to help. The stairs are historic but have rails on both sides and we received assistance with our luggage. Coffee, tea, other beverages and some tasty cookies were provided - an extension of Evert's hospitality. There are lots of cafes within walking distance, as is the train station, Anne Frank house and canal tours. We loved our 3 night stay!

Happy in Amsterdam

Our host was considerate and helpful. He went out of his way to accommodate our early arrival and helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations and even assisted with laundry. The space was generous with lots of natural light and numerous reading lamps made for a comfortable and convenient setting. Violin music made the experience even more charming.
