True North est une retraite cachée privée de 20 +/- acre, joliment aménagée sur le côté tranquille de Bar Harbor. True North est à distance de marche de The Nature Conservancy / Blagdon Preserve, un beau sentier pédestre qui mène à des plages, une aire de pique-nique et une chance de voir la faune du Maine comme les phoques, les aigles, les balbuzards, les cerfs et bien plus encore! Long Pond se trouve à 5 minutes en voiture pour la baignade, le kayak, le canoë et le paddle boarding qui peuvent être loués à Pond's End via National Park Canoe & Kayak Rentals. La plage d'Echo Lake et le sentier pédestre de Beach Cliff sont à environ 10 minutes en voiture de True North. Pour une visite rapide et une morsure savoureuse à manger, The Atlantic Brewing Company est à moins de 5 minutes en voiture, un endroit idéal pour visiter et voir comment la bière du Maine est brassée et ensuite déjeuner à Mainley Meats un restaurant de barbecue saisonnier intérieur / extérieur. Entrée du parc national Acadia, dans la ville Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor et Northeast Harbor sont tous à 15 minutes en voiture. An amazing, roomy house with a ton of amenities and ways for families to spend the time, and in a really central location to most of the things you will want to do on the island. Great hiking, paddling, and restaurants within a 5 minute drive.

His vacation home is amazing! Very clean and had everything we need plus more. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of furniture for everyone to sit together in living and dining areas. The basement activity room is amazing and we could barely get the kids to leave the house! This was our third stay. We love it at True North.

The description of the property is accurate. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was a great fit for our family. It was easy to travel to different areas on the island. If we ever make it back to to island, we hope to stay here again.

This was the best rental my family has used for vacation throughout New England. It was a perfect location for exploring the Bar Harbor area and Acadia National Park. Set back from the road, the property was quiet and welcoming for humans and animals. Well supplied for young children through adults. Definitely worth the price ( which actually was pretty low compared to smaller rentals!).

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home to stay at for our vacation to Acadia National Park . The host Stephanie was very responsive . The home was spacious and extremely well stocked with everything you could ever want or need to make your stay even more wonderful . It was quiet, secluded and within 15 minute drive to Acadia National park. We enjoyed all of the amenities such as the outdoor fire pit with wood included , grill , game room and many pots and pans for cooking , bath towels . Honestly it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back again .

True North was the perfect location for us to explore all parts of MDI! The property was well stocked and had plenty of room for the seven of us. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay again if we came back to the area!

Wonderful stay in Maine

The property was wonderful -- roomy, surrounded by woods, convenient to anything you wanted to do on the island. We took hikes on both sides of the island with some satisfying vertical stretches and great views. Great lobster was available on the quiet side. It was always pleasant to return to our special secluded home at the end of an active day.

I was born and raised in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. I am a 20 year paralegal and office manager for my husband's business Bar Harbor Building Contractor's, LLC. I have been in the weekly rental business for over 15 years. I am a devoted mother to a wonderful 11 year old boy and 17 year old niece. We travel frequently and rent weekly rentals so I understand what people need and want in a rental home.

True North is located on historic Richardson family land that has been passed through many generations and has stayed within the family. It is a private 20 acre retreat allowing you and your family plenty of space to enjoy your vacation! We have a sun room, patio, balcony, game room, fire pit, horse shoes and outdoor playhouse. True North is within walking distance to a beautiful preserve providing hiking trails, picnic area, and beaches to explore the Maine coast and more.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We are located on the "quiet side" of Bar Harbor, within walking distance to the ocean and less than 5 miles to Long Pond and Echo Lake that provide canoeing and kayaking. True North is centrally located and less than a 10 minute drive to in town Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Northeast Harbor. Acadia National Park entrance is less than a 10 minute drive and Beech Cliff Mountain is 5 minutes from True North. We are 5 minutes from Atlantic Brewing Company where you can enjoy a tour and see how they make Island brewed beer and wine. You are encouraged to bring your bikes and ride on the beautiful carriage trails and enjoy a lobster at one of the three lobster pounds within a 5 minute drive.
