Clemons Cottage was the perfect place for my husband, adult daughter, our dogs and myself to stay while evacuating from Hatteras Island during Hurricane Erin. Sharon was incredibly kind and accommodating given our need for flexibility, and the cottage was clean, comfortable, and well located for whiling away a few unplanned days in the area. Highly recommend.

We stayed 4 nights. Clemons cottage was perfect for us and our 2 preteen grandsons. Beds were very comfortable. AC was great. House was clean. Cute garden but too warm to enjoy on this trip. The kitchen was tiny but had the things we needed for some lightmeal prep. We could have used a fourth stool for the bar height table. The best part is we could park our car and walk to downtown Manteo. Would recommend this property.

Perfect Cottage in Manteo

Enjoyed four days with our granddaughters in the perfect place. Size was just right. Location was convenient to everything including walking to ice cream and the playground. The yard was an added benefit. Very quiet neighborhood and many nice places to walk the dog.

Budleigh stay

So cute! The cottage is small but packs in everything that we needed. The location is perfect, within walking distance to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Manteo. We would definitely stay here again.

Last minute getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed this home! It’s the perfect size for a couple, or even a family of 3 or 4. It was perfect for our senior dog who can’t do a lot of steps now. We were able to easily walk all over Manteo’s historic district, and loved sitting in the yard every evening. Poor Richards and Ortegaz are always our favorites! The distillery is very close and pet friendly. Probably a 10minute drive to Coquina beach, which we did one day. The lot is shared with 2 other rentals but still feels very private the way they’re situated. The house is small but sooo comfy
 comfy beds, couch, recliner
 big bathroom, very nice linens, fully stocked kitchen. I’d be perfectly content living in this house!! 😁

Wonderful Cottage

Really enjoyed the stay. Location was perfect, especially for the July 4th holiday. The cottage was awesome, secluded with landscaping, nice outside sitting area, within walking distance of downtown Manteo. Nice morning walks around classic Manteo homes in the neighborhood with our dog. Well furnished cottage, decor was done with great taste. Will be back again soon I’m sure. Hope so

This Property Deserves it's High Rating!!!

The cottage was as described. Great size, nice amenities, yard was perfect to hang out in and relax, location to waterfront could not have been better. 10 minutes fron Nags Head beaches. All in all, excellent.

Clemons cottage is adorable and in a great location. We enjoyed walking to the waterfront each day and sitting in the garden with our dogs at the end of the day. Loved our stay and will be planning another visit soon!

Sweet Little Cottage to sooth the soul!

Loved the cottage!! Inside was cute and cozy... very walkable to downtown Manteo. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for sightseeing, beach strolls and checking out the neighborhood which was very friendly. Ate all my meals outside in the lovely garden as there really was not a dining area inside, but that was OK by me! Hope to come again, soon.

Loved this home and location !

We spent a month in this adorable home and loved every minute of it. It’s a couple of blocks from Manteo downtown water front and not too far from the Outer Banks, Lake Mattuskeet, and other outdoor / wildlife areas. Hopeful we can make this trip again. If you rent, it won’t disappoint !! The owner is exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed ! A 5-star stay for sure !

Lovely, quaint and cozy!

We booked the cottage for our 30th wedding anniversary for myself, my spouse and two greyhounds. It was great! It’s small so it was quite “cozy” sharing the space with two people and two large dogs but it suited our needs well. Host was awesome about answering questions and sharing info about the area. Beds were comfy with tons of fluffy pillows and nice bedding. Very small, but functional kitchen. Wouldn’t want to try to cook a full dinner in it, but great for a simple breakfast or making sandwiches for lunch. If you’re tall, like my 6’3”hubby, you do need to watch out for some low doorways and light fixtures. He bonked his head a few times. Overall a great space and the local area is fantastic! Incredible people, great restaurants, tons of historic sites and attractions to visit, beautiful beaches not too far away. Highly recommend!
