Nice apartment but with some downsides

The apartment is for the most part as advertised; cute and generally well located between town and beach. However, the parking is a problem as they share it with a bike shop. Another issue we ran into was the kitchen has ants so any food will wind up infested. A minor detail is the beds have linens so thin you will be cold.

Excellent choice for weekend wedding guests

The property was everything we hoped and more. Centrally located in Surfside- great access on foot to coffee/breakfast/lunch options. The apartment was very spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed (though we did not cook). The bedrooms were comfortable, mattresses were great. The en-suite shower was luxurious with a wide bench and double rain shower heads. There was a cozy deck with seating for 2 and a backyard space for outdoor dining. We were very satisfied and would definitely recommend this listing!

45 Surfside

The big problem with this property is the location. While the ground floor apartment was very clean it was very grey & functional. We found the beds uncomfortable and the living room also. Others may not agree with this. However, the location is not close to anything - you need a car and there are so many cars and 4wheel drives and the occasional truck parked at this property that parking can be tight. There are hundreds of bikes also. We hired a car because we needed it to see the island and to go into the town. You can cycle of course on Nantucket - but not many people did & really they cycled locally. The property Provides light cotton beach towels which we found to be too small. They should offer the use of beach chairs and an umbrella as we travelled from Europe and found the lack of these meant we were sitting in the full blast of the sun on the beach.

Apartment was clean, spacious, open concept. Communication with our host, Hans, was timely and accurate. The employees at the adjacent bike shop we also helpful and informative during our stay. We had great weather and overall a wonderful trip to the island.

Convenient and accessible property

This property is conveniently located next to the bike trail to Madaket Beach, the bus route to and from town, a bike shop, and two breakfast places. Even the Stop and Ship was only a 20 min walk away. One of our guests was in a wheelchair with limited ability to walk stairs. This rental was the perfect place for her due to it being wide-open hallways, accessible shower, few area rugs to trip on, and very modern and minimalist furniture. (The only stairs were three steps to enter the house) The outdoor seating on a side patio and front patio means you can enjoy the weather outside at any time. The only thing to consider is if you are a light sleeper, this is a first floor unit and you will be able to hear guests renting upstairs. This includes heavy footsteps, doors sliding open and closed, music or movies on
 My only complaint. Otherwise this is a great rental! Hans and his wife also rent a Jeep for exploring the town and beaches.

Spacious and clean

The property was overall excellent. It’s about a mile out of town, so bikes we necessary. I didn’t like that the entry code does not change and the manager at the bike shop knew our code. Very clean and super spacious!!

Fantastic stay on Nantucket

This property was as listed. For our needs, it was in a really convenient location to bike to town or the beach. Everything is new in the property. I would absolutely stay here again.

Weekend Stay

Three friends and I rented the apartment for the weekend. It had all the amenities we needed and was very conveniently located by a bike shop, cafe, and in proximity to other restaurants. Would certainly recommend!
