Weekend getaway

We had a great time in Colonial Beach. The house was close to everything and we were able to walk to the restaurants and shops that we visited. The guest binder and treats were a warm touch to welcome us as guests. Our only concern was that there was pet fur everywhere eventhough pets are not allowed in the rental. Other than that the house was well furnished and suited our needs.

I do want to sincerely apologize for the pet fur you encountered. A family member had stayed with their dog just before your visit, and unfortunately, we missed this. This was entirely our oversight and not the fault of our cleaning team, who usually does a wonderful job. We’ll be extra careful going forward to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Great House

The house was significantly nicer than I expected. The house was spotless, well decorated, and had modern updates. Felt very "homey" and comfortable. Local contact was great and very friendly. Great location that was walkable to everything (of course most everything in Colonial Beach is). Was my first time to Colonial Beach and I would definitely go back.

Perfect Cozy Getaway!

We had an amazing stay at this pristine Cottage in Colonial Beach, VA! It had such a cozy welcoming feel, making it the perfect place to relax. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made cooking easy. Our two teenagers loved the location and the ability to walk to town and parks. The screened in porch and back patio were great for enjoying the outdoors, and the fire pit was a wonderful bonus. The master bedroom bed was super comfy, and we really loved the Danish-inspired design/feel of the home. Being so close to the beach is going to make this cottage a summer hot spot. We highly recommend it!Morgan and Frank Robertson and family.

Rocking chairs & Relaxation - a Perfect Unwind!

We really enjoyed our stay! This is a perfect place to unwind and relax. We spent our time enjoying the beach and local restaurants. We loved going to the little shops around town and then settling down by a fire after dinner on the patio. The house is super cute, rooms are spacious and an open concept in the living/dining/kitchen area made it easy to connect with family and spend time together. Our favorite house amenity were the rocking chairs on the front porch, great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Will book again and would recommend to others! I would highly recommend this house to rent. It was cute, comfortable and everything you would need is there. I loved everything about; it’s close to the beach, there is a beautiful backyard for fires and it was a great place to spend time relaxing. Colonial Beach was such a cute little town with lots of little shops and great restaurants . A Perfect Girls Getaway in Colonial Beach, VA

We had the most amazing "girls getaway" weekend at our short term rental in Colonial Beach. Our vacation rental really felt like a home away from home. The "I Hope You Dance" (sign over the front door) cottage is beautifully decorated, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. From the comfortable rocking chairs on the front porch to the little details like laundry baskets and start up supplies, they really of everything to make our stay effortless and enjoyable. It was also so clean and fresh, which was very important to us, it was perfectly immaculate. Beyond the cottage, we explored everything this charming town has to offer. We walked along the beach, browsed local thrift stores, had a wonderful dinner at the new Italian restaurant, lunch at a wine and cheese shop that had live entertainment. While there we even attended a Sunday church service where we were warmly welcomed by the community. The town itself was so inviting and despite chilly weather, we had sunny mornings perfect for a walk around - the cottage is convenient to everything (you can walk everywhere from there - and we're all in our 60's). Colonial Beach has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and we can't wait to return. As for the cottage - five star all the way! We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect comfortable retreat!
