Welcome to Beach Walk Retreat, a cozy and thoughtfully designed one-bedroom apartment perfectly located in the heart of Condado â just a short walk to the beach!

LIVING AREAS
Once you enter Beach Walk Retreat you are welcomed with the amazing parallel city and ocean views! The sleek and thoughtfully designed living area features a sofa and two modern arm chairs, a dining table for 2, and a balcony with stunning views.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The bedroom has a king bed, Smart TV, blackout curtains and clothing storage.
The full bathroom is located within the bedroom.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The tub in the bathroom functions solely as either a normal tub or shower; the jets to turn it into a jacuzzi do not work and will not work. You are renting the unit, fully understanding that it is a normal tub and shower.
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
Beach Walk Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen! The kitchen is stocked for all your cooking needs, it has a full fridge, microwave, 4-burning stove top, toaster, dishwasher, and coffee maker.
GETTING AROUND & PARKING
We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general San Juan/Metro area.
If you plan to rent a car to explore the island, this property includes parking for one (1) vehicle.
LOCATION
Beach Walk Retreat is located in Condado, Puerto Rico. This is considered a prime location in San Juan. From Beach Walk Retreat, you are a 5-minute walk away from the sand and within walking distance of some of the best dining options Puerto Rico has to offer. Forget the rental car because from here you can walk or Uber to everything! The apartment is approximately 10 minutes from the airport, restaurants, parks, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops, all within walking distance.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas. Here are some of our favorites:
1. Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at Beach Walk Retreat. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach.
2. Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce, a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita.
3. Explore Calle Loiza, which is a block from the apartment. This up-and-coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip, stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food.
4. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help coordinate tours to this destination.
5. Spend a day in Old San Juan. Beach Walk Retreat is a 10-minute Uber ride from the oldest city in the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food, drinks, and shopping to enjoy!
Other Things to Note:
STARTER AMENITIES
At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.
All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest.
We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:
- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)
- 3 garbage bags
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)
- 1 dish soap
- 1 dish sponge
Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guestâs responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.
Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.
HOUSE RULES
RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.
NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.
QUIET HOURS: This building has elderly residents. Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.
UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors.
OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.
TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.
TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.
SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.
If youâd like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and weâll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.
If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.
Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and weâll be happy to check availability for you.
TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.
Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
