Sandy Cheeks is a gorgeous 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home in the Highland Parks community of Blue Mountain Beach, just off Hwy 30A. Enjoy cooking family meals together in the stunning gourmet kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There are two master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and king beds, the second floor master bedroom features double vanity sinks and a large walk in shower. On the second floor, you will also find a guest bedroom with two queen beds, and a guest bedroom with twin bunkbeds and a queen bed, allowing this spacious home to comfortably sleep 12 guests. Less than a mile to the beach, this home includes amazing neighborhood amenities such as a free form tropically landscaped lagoon pool with whirlpool, community grilling area, and fire pit with comfy chairs and couches - sit, chat and enjoy your favorite drink with your family and friends! Highland Parks is the newest neighborhood in Blue Mountain Beach featuring a fantastic neighborhood pool with a waterfall, hot tub, gazebo, fire pit, snack bar, and observation tower. The area is the highest point in South Walton County and surrounded by great eateries and local eclectic shops. Highland Park is perfectly situated between Redfish Village and Gulf Place Town Center on Hwy 30A! Enjoy dining at local favorites The Perfect Pig, Red Door, Local Catch, or Basmati's. Area Attractions: 

This is a fantastic location with Gulf Place Town Center only 1.5 miles to the West and Watercolor, Grayton Beach, Seaside, Seacrest, and Rosemary Beach just minutes away to the East. Biking is a great activity to enjoy as the scenic bike path meanders along 30A. Bike over to Blue Mountain Beach Creamery for some homemade scoops that will have your taste buds coming back! You'll have an array of dining options to choose from! 

30A is a fantastic destination, the beaches are some of the world’s best with sugar white sand and emerald green waters. You will find plenty of beach accesses along a 17 mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine, and the incredible architecture that makes 30A famous, there are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.

The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation devices when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Loved the house and the location. The coffee maker didn't work the first morning we got there and the host replaced it that day. We are coffee fiends, so this was a big deal and really appreciated.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Cheeks! It was the perfect size for our family. The house was decorated so nicely and was so comfortable! My teens loved having the bikes. The pool was wonderful! There was also lots of seating and the covered area was nice. The community was very nice and we look forward to returning! Thank you!

Family beach trip

Beautiful house. Spacious bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of books and games for your down time. Had 3 beach chairs and a nice cooler backpack that we used each time we went to the beach.

Great stay!

Overall, it was a great stay, tons of parking, says 2 cars, but we were able to fit 3 cars and a 6 person golf cart in the driveway with ease. Community Hot tub was private away from pool and only one extra large fire pit, so could get crowded (we had one issue bc group of bachelorette party hanging out) bbq pits were out of order (not sure if it was Covid related), next day it was empty...Property manager was quick to respond, although didn’t know much on specific parking info, was just general info. Close to everything on a bike or golf cart, very clean, smelled clean, and was in great condition, tons of light, felt cozy, relaxing and perfect for our 3 couples trip.

Great family vacation spot.

The house was clean and spacious. TV in each room easy to use with lots of apps. Close to the pool(quick walk)and easy to get to the beach. We rented a golf cart and that was great. The only real problem we had was the sofa. It was low, low low to the ground with lots of loose cushions. The older family members could not get up and down off of it. I would definitely recommend a different sofa or different chairs in the living room. We had a great time!

Overall Good with Minor Inconveniences

Great location. Nice overall look. It was very convenient to the community pool - walk left out of the driveway, past one house, then take a right onto the pathway between houses that circles around to the pool. We all took the time to climb the observation tower next to the pool - fabulous views. The kitchen was nice and we utilized the counter seating multiple times to feed the kids. It was well stocked and had almost everything we needed. We did have to buy a metal spatula to use when we grilled hamburgers by the pool. The grill was a little tricky. We never got the grill on the right to light and had to play around with the one on the left, but were ultimately successful. Several in our group enjoyed using the bikes that were provided & they rode to town multiple times. There were some cons though. First off, the unit did not come with additional toilet paper other than what was on the roll, so our first morning there we had to make a toilet paper run. The other con was that although the listing says, "towels provided," it means one dish towel in the kitchen and one bath towel per person for our full house of 12. There were not enough hanging racks or hooks, so towels ended up in the floor. We had to constantly do laundry to have enough clean towels. There is a note on the fridge that says the towels ARE NOT to be taken to the pool or beach. Because the listing said towels were provided, we had not packed any and had to go purchase beach/pool towels.

This same email lets you know that we provide starters of kitchen and bathroom essentials so you should plan to bring these items from home or purchase them once you get here.
