We absolutely loved our stay! The house was so cute, incredibly clean, and honestly just perfect for what we needed. Everything felt easy and comfortable from the minute we arrived. Our host was fantastic, super responsive whenever we had a question and really great to work with. It was one of those stays where everything just worked, and we had such a great experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

My family and I loved staying here. It was very clean, updated and accommodating. It felt like a 2nd home. Communication is top notch and made our stay effortless. There’s so much to do in the surrounding area and not too far from downtown Salem. The beach, Castle Hill on the Crane Estate and Russell Orchard is a must stop. Just a minute down the road each way. This whole area is beautiful and it was very relaxing. I’m happy we found you and we hope to come again.

What a lovely place to stay! So close to Crane's beach, so close to the charming downtown area, lovely views of the coastal estuaries, peaceful! We had an amazing time and we hope to go back.

We loved our stay at Joseph's and Kathleen's home. It was convenient to town for strolling and lunch, to Crane beach for photos and fun, and to Crane Estate for the wedding. Great communication, flexible with our pet needs, outfitted with all we needed, very clean and well kept up. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful natural surroundings. Thank you!!

Super convenient to Cranes Beach and downtown Ipswich. We were there for a wedding in the area and appreciated the space of the home, and proximity to our activities. While the full over twin bunk bed is upstairs and is a great spot for kids, it’s an open space at the top of the stairs and doesn’t have a door. Optimal space for children for adults. The primary bedroom was roomy and bright! The home is very clean and was very quiet!

We stayed here with our family of 4 in Sep 2026. We had an amazing time visiting the area. There were a lot of things to do for kids with our children who are 3 and 5. We went to Salem one of the evenings we stayed, everyone in the area is incredibly nice, understanding and respectful of kids, and very accommodating. The town was decked out with Halloween decorations and we even (unintentionally) crashed the locals trick or treating before the busy season began in October. All the locals were so excited and so welcoming to let our kids be a part of it. We also visited cranes beach, castle hill on the crane estate, and the museum of science in Boston. There was a very strong nor’easter that came through while we were there so the weather wasn’t the best and we still had so much fun. The hosts were so accommodating, very friendly/nice, available for any questions we had and just wanted to make sure we had an amazing stay. The property was extremely clean, cozy and made us feel right at home. This was probably the best place that we’ve stayed at through Vrbo. We use Vrbo for most of our traveling so it means a lot!!! Thank you for such an amazing experience and stay!!!

Cranes beach house

Was very nice place and we were able to bring our dog. Close to beach and town. I was close to my family to visit them. I would love to rent again.

Great location, quiet, near Crane beach and estate. Owners friendly and accomodating. The only minor downside for us was the bathroom is on the first floor, but the bedroom is on the 2nd floor.

Wonderful stay!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Great location and short drive to see all of the city’s we planned to visit, Salem/Boston/Rockport/Newburyport. The place was gorgeous inside and out, private and extremely clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was perfect for our evenings we cooked in. Couldn’t have picked a better place for our family to stay!!
