Who says you have to choose between boating and enjoying the beach when you can have both! Newly renovated 4 bedroom 4 bathroom custom built canal home with just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Open the barndoor downstairs to reveal an open bar area with large smart TV and seating area with two couches for keeping up with sporting events or watching your favorite movie all while enjoying the beautiful view of the canal. Oh did i mention the backyard has turf and is fenced so your family can play corn hole while you grill on the your choice of gas or charcoal grills? The house has an open flow throughout with a large living area on the main level with 74 inch smart TV located above gas log fireplace, WIFI, fully equipped kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms each with their own private full bathroom, sun porch and covered screened in porch. Enjoy your own private dock for fishing, kayaking (2 kayaks for your use), floating and docking your boat with ICW and Ocean access. Ground level patio with large outside shower, This canal home is convenient to town center with community park, shops, restaurants, pier, mini golf and Friday night concerts during the summer. Please note: Rentals during the summer are Sunday to Sunday to avoid traffic on Saturdays. Linens and paper products are not supplied.

OIB Canal Home

The property was wonderful! Close proximity to the beach, and a great canal location. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen well-stocked, and the outdoor living area was great!

Wonderful home!

Our family had the best time here!! The home has such a warm, comfortable feel. Our kids felt right at home. The location is amazing; my husband and boys fished every day. We spent most of our time at the beach or outdoors. The backyard is perfection. We hated to leave! The home is well stocked with everything you need. Truly a perfect trip.

Very fun house. We used the indoor/outdoor space to the fullest; something for everyone. The garage fridge & sink/bar was so convenient for beach prep/cleanup. Overall, a cool, casual house with comfortable beds. Would stay again!

Great weather for a great week

A few clouds, a few sprinkles and lots of sun. The ocean was refreshing. The house was in a great location to the beach and had fun fishing the canal. Really love the walk out garage bar area and turf grass!

Nice place for a vacation stay

This property fit our family of thirteen well. Spacious and clean. Plenty of toys and chairs for the beach. Host answered the few questions we had promptly.

Beautiful and fun-filled vacation!

We loved 10 Scotland Street on the canal! The house is excellent and well stocked with everything your family needs for a beach and canal adventure. Our host was communicative and very helpful. We were sad to say goodbye!

Adult family vacation

We just had a great family vacation at OIB. We have vacationed in OIB or Sunset multiple times over the last 35 years. Brent and Vrbo made this years trip fabulous. Great communication, great property, great recommendations and great value. If you get a chance definitely stay at 10 Scotland, it won't disappoint!

Beautiful Canal Home

This beach house was in a perfect location—even walking distance to ice cream, putt-putt, shops, and Friday night beach music! The kitchen is well stocked, and all bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The downstairs bar and patio were our family’s evening hangout place—it was awesome!

Fun Family Trip

We had a great time at Ocean Isle. The property was as advertised and great walking distance to the beach and fun swimming in the canal. We used the kayaks which was a great addition to the trip. Brent was extremely responsive and helped us retrieve a backpack that was left after we went home. He was amazing to work with.

We recently stayed at a beach house on the canal and overall had a great experience. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-located—just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for our family. Having our own private dock was definitely a highlight. It was great for fishing, relaxing by the water, and even docking a boat.The house had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, but one thing to be aware of: we were required to bring our own linens, towels, and paper products, despite paying a premium price for the rental. For the cost, it would’ve been nice to have basic essentials included or at least an option to have them provided without an extra charge.That said, the location and setup of the house made it a memorable trip. We’d recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet spot with both canal and beach access—just plan ahead to pack your own supplies.

Beautiful functional house

Awesome location!!! Short distance to beach with access to waterway right behind the house. Kids loved fishing of the dock and using the kayaks. Set crab pots and played in the water. Great entertaining location under the house with plenty of seating. Also a big plus, was that we didn’t have to bring anything for the beach. Brent (homeowner) was amazing super fast answering questions for us on our trip. Will be looking into staying at the house again.

Amazing House!

We just spent last week at this rental and it was fantastic!! We spent every night in the outdoor bar area watching baseball on the big TV and catching up with our family! Ideal location with pretty view of canal, walking distance to everything and still quiet! House is very nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious for 10 of us and communication with the owner was exceptional! Our teens loved playing ping pong and using the floatation mats and my husband loved the kayak too!!

VRBO as described

Family had a super time at this VRBO. Everything owner spelled out in descriptions and amenities was just as written. Communication with owner was top notch and checkin process had no issues. Beach access was easy walk or drive to park with beach items. Bikes, beach chairs and rafts were nice bonus. Even ice machine and 2nd refrig came in handy. Loved canal access too. Highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Canal Bliss

We all loved staying here on the canal. The boat broke down the first day but the kids had a blast swimming and kayaking from the dock. We all enjoyed the bar area, TV and the lower seating area. The bikes were a hit also. Several of us brought bikes and it was great having the extras. The owners were very easy to contact and very helpful with our day early golf cart delivery and all questions. All are hoping to go here again

Family vacation at OIB

We loved our stay here at this beautiful property at OIB! Located right on the canal, we enjoyed breezy evening cookouts by the water. You never run out of places to sit with the many porches and backyard seating options! The walk to the beach is ab 7ish min, but driving to drop off our stuff for the day- parking was never an issue. The men never wanted to leave the big screen TV at the newly installed back yard bar— what a treat! The bottom level of the house made for some fun rainy days— the kids played air hockey and ping pong for hours! The house is spacious and comfortable- we hope to return in the future!!

PERFECT HOUSE!

Our family had an amazing week at this beautifully appointed house! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and the basement was fully stocked with everything we needed for the beach, swimming and to keep us entertained. Communication with the host was the best I have ever had with a rental. This location was the perfect spot - close to everything! When we weren't at the beach, we spent our time in the pristine backyard area in the shade or sun, and swimming/fishing in the canal. We can't wait to come back! Thank you for sharing such a lovely home with my family! 5 stars aren't enough.

Family vacation

The house was even better than the pictures when we book it. They had just completed the fence and turf yard a week or so before we stayed at the house. This addition was great for us because we had some little ones and we didn't need to worry so much about them falling in the water. The update with the turf makes the entire yard more usable. We rented a boat for the week from Ocean Isle Boat rental and went out to the beach at the inlet between OI and Holden beach each day. The house was perfect for the 12 of us and the downstairs bar and was great for everyone to hang out in the evenings. Great house, great owners, all around great experience!!!

Wonderful Week

Our group consisted of ages 18-80 and everyone enjoyed this property. The owners responded to messages as we prepared for our trip in a timely fashion. The kitchen was well stocked and there were also plenty of beach chairs provided. We enjoyed the bar area downstairs and playing ping pong, cornhole,poker, and air hockey. We also kayaked on the canal. The beach was just a short walk and also it was very convenient to load our van up with all the beach supplies and drive to the access point to unload all of our gear so we didn’t have to carry it as far. We have been to Ocean Isle many times, but this was our first time staying on the canal. We really enjoyed having a different experience. A bonus for our week was watching an excavation of a sea turtle nest one evening. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great house with canal access

We had a wonderful week at this house. We had my parents (mid-70s) and our teenagers with us and really enjoyed this house. Great location, just a short walk to the beach or drive to main OIB shops area. House was clean and kitchen was nicely supplied. Garage had games and lots of supplies, along with room to park cars if you want. On days when the waves were rough we spent time floating or kayaking in the canal which was nice. Owner was super easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. There is an elevator but it’s in the back of the house so we didn’t use it, but nice amenity for those who really need it. We were lucky to be there late in the season and got to witness a turtle nest hatch on the last night which was super fun. Truly enjoyed our week at OIB. Thank you!
