A short block to one of the most beautiful beaches Florida has to offer. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but just six blocks to all the hustle and bustle that Flagler Ave is famous for. Smyrna Dunes Park is a beautiful spot nearby. Rumor has it, Hemingway stayed in this suite.

Never heard from the cost other than email with a confirmation info. We loved the location and property but a few things made it disappointingWater had very very low pressure took a while to even get hot. Sink in bathroom drained very slow and we literally had no heat the last day of our visits . The temperature when we got up was in the 50s. We jumped up and immediately packed to leave due the cold temperature.

It was quiet and in a good location. The host never responded, to concerns, after at least 3 attempts I stopped trying. The tv remote was very intermittent, batteries were changed 3 times and did not help. The microwave did not power on, no indicator lights. The bathroom sink is 80% clogged, and the water pressure is very low. The chain on the fan broke.

I have stayed at this property before and the cottage. But it was a few years ago. Location is wonderful and the property itself is very aesthetically pretty. That being said the building should be condemned and burned down. Old creaky drafty noisy zero water pressure accommodations. All of the outdoor furniture is yard art and totally unusable. Electricity is possibly the oldest I’ve ever seen. Made the best of it, but will never ever ever come near this place again.

We had a couple of issues while there and the host does not have anyone in town to address issues promptly. I do not like to give poor reviews as I also have rental properties. However, we gave the host the opportunity to make things right, but nothing resuted from our interaction. It is a wonderful location from where you can walk to the beach in 3 minutes, but it lacks other amenities and is in need of some updates and repairs.

No way to control temperature. Said it was set at 70. It was very cold in the rooms. No hot water- lukewarm at best. Hot water in shower came out in small stream. Microwave didn't work.

We contacted the host 4 times with no response. There was no washer and dryer as listed, there were bikes as listed but they were locked and stated not for guest use. The microwave did not work at all. And the need was absolutely miserable. There were no instructions for how to leave the apartment at check out. Love the area well be back again but will never book with this host ever again.

Home was extremely cute and a block away from a drive on beach. Hostess was kind and answered all my questions asap. Would recommend to anyone just trying to get away.

What a lovely quaint cottage apartment. Had a great 2 night stay. Especially loved the nice porch which had a great ocean breeze. Would definitely book again.

Close to the Beach

Our bed was comfortable and morning coffee on the porch was a great way to start the day before our short walk to the beach.Be prepared for some limitations in the kitchen. You’ll need to unplug the coffeemaker before using the microwave or toaster, but you’re on vacation and not in a hurry, right?

New Smyrna Beach apartment

The good - Great location with a short walk to the beach, fair price, spacious bedroom, bed is more comfy than other reviews have mentioned, nice porch to sit and relax, quiet during my stay. The apartment has a simple old-school charm to it. For me, the location to the beach and Flagler Ave were there biggest pluses. What I wish was different - The shower was tiny and water drained too slowly with water collecting pretty quickly in the tray. I didn't realize how much I'd miss a couch or recliner. Seating was limited to arm chairs and I ended up staying in bed on the day it rained. The mattress topper was fine, but I think oversized sheets were used because of it, and the fitted sheet "popped off" too easily and often. Finally, I was hoping to use of the 5 bikes mentioned in the listing, but only 1 was road-worthy - but even that one was sketchy and I didn't use it after a test ride. The others had popped tubes that wouldn't hold air and one had no chain. Overall I was pleased with my choice. If you don't mind the nit-picky things I mentioned, you'll enjoy your stay! For me, it was a 4 out of 5.

Great Stay!

Our daughter has home on Crawford across the street and 3 houses away. That house was full to capacity with family and grandchildren so we rented The Hemmingway. BEST decision we made! We ate in breakfast and lunch but went out for dinner every evening so not having a full oven and dishwasher was not a problem at all. Perfect for 2 people!
