Quaint and peaceful 1 bedroom cottage in delightful, de-lovely, DeLand, Florida. Steps away from Stetson University and the downtown shops, restaurants and boutiques. 18 miles to Daytona, 24 miles to New Smyrna Beach, 40 miles to Orlando. Often quoted as "The Real Florida", this artsy and historic town offers many fresh clear water springs for kayaking and manatee viewing. The perfect place for a couple and also offers a comfortable fold out couch for 1-2 extra guests. Wonderful outdoor patio and all the comforts of home! PLEASE NOTE: The maximum time this property is offered per guest is 2 weeks.

Communication with hostess was excellent. Location to sites and shops was perfect. The house was clean, very comfortable for the two of us, and was hard to leave. The suggestions for restaurants and things to do from our hostess were described accurately. I hope we have the opportunity to stay at this location again.

Everything about our stay at this home was wonderful! The host was super accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The home is cozy and very comfortable. It is also very clean and clutter-free. This is our second time staying here, and I will make sure of the availability of this home before making our next travel plans to Deland. That is how much we enjoy our stay here!

I had planned on going to Paris for my 60th birthday, but 3 months before my trip, got hit with a couple of unexpected bills. I could afford a trip to DeLand, which is dear to me since I’m a Stetson graduate. I tried Vrbo for the first time. This adorable cottage was decorated with several drawings of the Eiffel Tower! It was also walking distance to my old dorm at Stetson. It was quite comfortable, quiet, & had everything I needed for a comfortable 4 night trip. I would definitely be interested in staying again. Karen is an artist & her artwork decorates this cottage, it is sublime.

This cute is amazing. It has everything I needed. Super cute and cozy. Felt like home and host was friendly and warm. Quiet neighborhood also. Will stay here again definitely if my daughter decides to return to Stetson for her Masters degree. Go Hatters!!!!!

The home is absolutely beautiful! We spent time looking at all of the decor on the walls. Each piece was given its own unique charm.The attention to detail was so helpful. If I had any questions, I was able to look at the binder. Perfect place for a stay.

We had great days in this charming old cottage. Very clean, easy to communicate with the host and is exavtly as showned in the pictures. Very calm and secure location close to Stetson University. We will book again!

Perfect “Stay - Cation” Location for Floridians

Gem of a place

What a unique experience to enjoy the "Crowned Cottage". It was very charming, cozy, and restful. It is very clean and lots of options to enjoy the outside areas. We had great communication with the owner. The place is very centralized and easy to walk to several places of importance. It is a short drive to downtown but so easy. Highly recommend this as a great base to enjoy the many springs and trails of this area.

Was there for Homecoming

What a perfect place to be close to downtown and Stetson which were the 2 things I was looking for. It is an adorable cottage and came with everything needed. I would absolutely stay again.

The Crowned Cottage is my home away from home when it's not being shared with others, and I love it's quaintness and ideal location.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

It is the perfect small historic cottage, in a most special town. Home to the beautiful Stetson University, the cottage allows you to walk downtown and enjoy the wonderful shops and restaurants, and also be close enough for other excursions such as Orlando, New Smyrna Beach and Daytona. While this area is well known for it's theme parks and attractions, there is so much more to explore! Central Florida is called "The Real Florida" because of its vast nature! There are more than 700 freshwater springs within it's boundaries. It is a kayaker's HEAVEN! During the winter months you can get up close and personal with the manatees that flock into Blue Springs Park which is just about 5 miles away. It is an experience like no other. If I am in town when you stay, inquire about my "Manatee Mingle" experience for two. I can provide the kayaks, and a manatee facts talk along with a champagne lunch! $150 per person.
