Walkable to Downtown DeLand & Stetson University - Beach 30-45 Minute Drive

You will be within very close walking distance to both Downtown DeLand's dining, shopping, and year-round events as well as Stetson University. This cozy cottage was built in 1916 and although the home has kept it's charming historical integrity, it's been renovated with relaxing coastal finishes. The upstairs master bedroom features a King, guest room has two Twin-XL beds, plus two air mattresses are available for an additional fee. Both bedrooms and bathroom are located upstairs. Guests will enjoy a BBQ grill, free wi-fi internet, Hulu and Netflix, washer & dryer, and two tandem parking spaces in the driveway with additional parking across the street. DeLand is approximately 45 minutes to both beaches and Orlando area attractions like Disney and Universal Studios.

Great spot in a nice little town

Very clean and the AC works great! Love that it’s close to everything downtown. If your in the area you have to check out the “neighbors taco” stand outside of cafe DaVinci.

This house was great for us with the dogs. 5 minute walk to beautiful downtown Deland. Nice quiet neighborhood for walks. Nice couches and TV's. Thanks for sharing!

Weekend Getaway

The house was great. It was dark when we arrived, and the lights were left on for us. Everything was as good or better than advertised. We had our dogs with us and the fenced in yard was a total bonus.

I really appreciated that we were able to check in early! The host was very accomidating and the house was very clean and well appointed. There was even a bottle of wine with the welcome booklet! The location was superb! Right in the heart of the downtown action and walkable to everything! There was some "city beat" noise with traffic and construction, yet we slept very well. We felt the presence of a cat that must have lived there before. Every night it crawled into bed and curled up by my hubby's feet. It felt comforting. We also went to the beach (New Smyrna) and Blue Spring to see the manatees! Truly my highlight and super easy drives from the house.We will definitely return! Especially in manatee season!

A wonderful visit to the Deland Area of Central Florida

Beautiful and cozy home. Great location, 1 block from Stetson University and downtown Deland! A pet friendly and safe location! Short drive to the Palm Coast at Flagler Beach. Plenty of great restaurants close by! See the Manatees at Blue Springs! Great communication with our wonderful host. We would stay here again. In short, highly recommended!

Overall a great stay, only complaint is that the place could have had a better cleaning our dog found a sock under the bed from a previous guest and the kitchen had some grease stains next to the stove and some stuff underneath the couches

Super cute home tucked downtown

We came down to Florida to visit family and had a very comfortable stay at this place. While the littles weren’t happy about having to sleep on a blowup mattress, once it was setup with the cute sheets blanket and pillow, they were content to sleep and slept great. Such a great idea to provide a humidifier! The house had everything we could imagine needing while away on vacation and the host was super quick to respond during the days leading up to our stay. I loved the house’ charm and decor. Thank you!

Great Rental for Couple or Family

The home was perfect for my husband, our small dogs, and myself. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again the next time we visit my brother-in-law. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is only one bathroom, which is located upstairs. This was not an issue for us but I just wanted to put it out there in case you have difficulty with stairs. The location was ideal for us! We could walk to downtown DeLand and all the shops, restaurants, and bars. It’s a really cute downtown area that we enjoyed exploring. Daytona Beach isn’t too far either - 30 minutes or so. That was a lot of fun! There’s so much you can do there! We had a great time at the beach! This is definitely the place to stay in DeLand for a couple or a family. Plus the host was so easy and friendly to work with!

We LOVED it! Quaint and comfy!

The property was the cutest! It's evident that the hosts have put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring you have all the amenities and comforts of home. It was situated just a couple of blocks from our daughter's dorm at Emily. When visiting again, we will surely be checking if this property is available for booking. I would give the host and property more stars if possible.

My name is Kaley Macomber and I was born and raised here in DeLand, Florida. I grew up traveling all over the United States every summer as a kid on vacations but DeLand has always been home. I have been a Realtor for almost 10 years and "explore" our local area for a living. My husband, Russell, is a Merchant Mariner navigating cargo ships around the world. We are both travelers at heart!

When we decide to vacation, we often choose to stay in short term rentals for so many reasons... the most important being the character of the place, the ability to have a whole residence to ourselves, and helpful host recommendations about the area. For these reasons and so many others, we are so excited to be able to share ours with you!
