Restaurants and grocery stores were at a walkable distance and if they weren’t Ubers were really easy and cheap to get. The house also felt really safe, there was an outer gate that was always locked and provided reassurance.

Four days in Hipodromo

I enjoyed staying in this apartment. It's located outside the usual tourist districts, but nonetheless it's within walking distance of Condado Beach and Miramar, and there are also many historic buildings nearby. Supermarkets like Walmart and Pueblo are only a few blocks away. Checking in was easy, and the property manager was very helpful. Would stay again.

Cute apartment

The place is in a very quiet residential neighborhood so don't expect bars/restaurants in the immediate vicinity but there are lots of places within walking distance. We had a car to explore the island and there was ample safe street parking but Uber is available across the island very quickly. Friendly neighbors and a clean, cozy apartment with the basics, which is all we needed for our stay. We would stay here again.

First of all, the only positive thing I can say is that the location is good and close to everything. However, the neighborhood is really bad. The neighbors are not friendly at all and behave irrationally. Even though there is street parking available, they did not allow me to park anywhere except directly in front of the house. Sometimes, when others parked in front of the place where I was staying, there was no space left for me either. They even called the landlord. The landlord told me to park in front of the garage, so I did. The next morning, I found a note on my car saying “do not park here again.” This makes no sense—you cannot tell me to park there and then tell me not to park there. I did not say anything because I was afraid they might damage my car or harm me. But the behavior in this neighborhood is extremely disrespectful. Additionally, it rained on Monday and Tuesday, and water was leaking directly onto my bed. The house has a serious water leakage problem. It was also not clean at all—only the visible areas were cleaned. Under the bed was full of hair and dirt. On top of that, there were ants and bugs in the house.

A quiet and centric place to stay

I am from PR but has been living in Florida for 24 years. I came back this time to close out and sell my mother's house in Guaynabo. This was the perfect place for me to stay. I moved around using Uber. A trip to Guaynabo was just 10 to 12 dollars including a tip. To La Placita, 4 dollars plus tip. I contacted Wilfredo twice and he responded immediately and ready to assist with whatever I needed. I had everything I needed as I was staying there just to sleep and rest. It is a very quiet place surrounded only by the lovely sound of the "coquies". If you have a car, you might experience some difficulties. Again, there is no need for a car as this place is close to the expressway. You can get an Uber in three minutes. I am not exaggerating. I will definitely stay here again, if needed.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Wilfredo Velez

Image de profil de l’hôte
I am from San Juan and enjoy to share time with family and friends and also traveling and knowing other cultures.
The most that I like from being a host is to offer a space in which guest feel comfortable and enjoy the experience to explore the city from different areas out of the tourist zone.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We chose Santurce neighborhood because you have an incredible opportunity like a local to explore the city from different points of view like the tourist areas like Condado, museums, the street art of Calle Cerra, gastronomic area of Calle Loiza and close to the Old San Juan in which you find bars, restaurants, museums, historic sites, etc. You will really enjoy!!!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our property offer a really quiet neighborhood in which you will enjoy your stay. There’s other guest in the property but all will felt like home.
