Most five-bedroom villas in Tamarindo sit up in the hills, which means every beach run and every dinner starts with the car keys. Casa Uno Mas doesn't. It sits on Calle Corona, a 10 minute walk from Playa Tamarindo with the restaurant strip on the way, and it has just come out of a full remodel that reworked the house from the ground up for groups of up to 12.

The ground floor is where everyone ends up. The kitchen was moved and doubled in size, so two or three people can cook at once without bumping elbows, and it opens onto a full dining room and a proper living room rather than one shared open space. Step outside and you have the infinity pool, a covered outdoor kitchen and grill, poolside dining and sun loungers, so long lunches drift into the afternoon without anyone going back indoors.

The house climbs from there. Four of the five bedrooms fill the middle floors, one of them a loft, each with air conditioning and its own bathroom, so couples and families can spread out and close a door when they need to. The master suite takes the whole fourth floor, with an indoor-outdoor bath and a soaking tub for two, and it opens directly onto the rooftop deck. The deck was fully rebuilt in the remodel, and it is the best seat in the house: the Pacific in front of you, coffee up there at sunrise, a drink up there at sunset.

Sleeping arrangements: five ensuite bedrooms, king beds in the main suites, a queen room, and the loft with a double, with twin configurations available on request in two rooms. Five full bathrooms and two half baths across the house, so nobody queues in the morning. Sleeps 12.

The original house earned architecture awards, and the 2026 expansion kept its character: open sightlines, natural light through the floors, and furnishings chosen to be lived in. High-speed WiFi throughout, smart TVs, a washer and dryer, and private parking for two cars inside the property.

A few honest notes. This is a four-storey house with stairs between every level and no elevator, so it is not a fit for anyone with limited mobility. There is active construction on a neighbouring lot through early 2027; nightly rates already reflect this. The minimum age for the primary renter is 25, and the home is smoke-free and pet-free.
