Lakeview Lux - 20min to Wrigley - Free Parking - Sleeps 17+

Enjoy a classic Chicago Greystone built in 1893 and renovated in 2023, a true mix of old charm with modern touches of art deco and Scandinavian design.

The home is conveniently located in ‘Lakeview’ with a 20min walk to Wrigley Field and 10min to the Brown Line. And if you're driving, we offer free dedicated parking for THREE vehicles.

Our home is a duplex with two spacious & connected living spaces. Each space is similar in design with their own unique touches. As such you'll have access to 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living spaces, 2 dining rooms, a huge backyard, and 3 car carport.

We've taken time to curate an incredible experience for our guests. Check out our bedding accommodations and favorite features:

The home has a great location. The weather was amazing. We were walkable to Wrigley, playgrounds, churches, and coffee shops. The backyard was fantastic with two large picnic tables, a fire pit, and off street parking in the alley.

The property was exactly as described. Plenty of space even for a larger group. Great location within walking distance to many great spots in Lakeview and Wrigley. The host was excellent at communicating and checking in on any of our needs throughout our stay.

Perfect Stay

The proximity to Wrigleyville and the gorgeous neighborhood made this stay even better. The house had more than enough room for our large group and the backyard was a nice touch.

Location was great but the house was generally very dirty. There were hairs in the fridge, the living room couch is extremely stained so we had to lay down towels before we sat. There was also wads of hair in the upstairs shower drain and when we had arrived the back door was wide open. Host was communicative and the house is in a great area but wouldn’t return for what we paid and how dirty the overall place was.

Lakeview House

We stayed at this Lakeview home for a graduation with a large family group. It has a great layout with 6 bedrooms so everyone who wanted their own room could have one. Check-in and out was great, the home was clean and the owner was very responsive.

The house layout and location were great however the kitchen was not well equipped. There was no toaster or anyway of making breakfast in either unit, there were no baking pans, pot holders, big dishes for serving. We were a multigenerational family of 12 people and wanted to cook in so we had to buy our own pans. We also had to buy some bath mats for the bathroom that did not have one and extra towels since only 12 bath towels , no hand towels or dish towels were provided. It was a nice place just wished the kitchen had the basic necessities

Nice place for extended families

We enjoyed our stay in this clean and easy to live in place, which was really like renting 2 separate flats at once. We needed a lot of beds for our group of extended family members, and we found them all here. We knew there were only 2 bathrooms for our party of 8 and it all worked out just fine. What would have made it even better is if there were places to hang jackets or clothes as we did not find hanging rods, racks or hangers in the bedrooms. Other than that it was a great place for our group to spend the weekend getting around Chicago and reconnecting. The host was attentive and helpful. Thanks for the hospitality!

Good Stay, Great neighborhood

The residence is located in a pleasant neighborhood, and it took us around 30 minutes to drive to downtown Chicago, considering the traffic. We appreciated its proximity to Devon Street, which offers many excellent Indian food options. The parking space in the back comfortably accommodates two SUVs, although it becomes a bit tight for a third car; fortunately, we found parking in front of the building. The bedding and rooms are well-kept and clean. However, we noticed that the sink drains slowly, which was a bit inconvenient. The kitchen is stocked with enough cups, plates, and bowls, but there isn't sufficient cookware for cooking if that's what you plan to do. Our group of ten found the space ample, but having an additional bathroom or half bath would have been beneficial. Overall, it's an excellent accommodation for larger groups.

CHI Ladies Getaway

We had a group of 12 ladies on a girls trip for the weekend and could not have been happier with the stay! The listing comes with a 3 car carport which was so convenient, but parking on the main road is free & easy to find. There’s a Trader Joe’s 4min away and about a 10min walk to the train that takes you straight Downtown. It was our first time in the city and felt very safe in the area. The listing comes with a security system and the host is in the neighborhood for any issues. The duplex is very well kept - clean, comfortable beds, washer/dryer, and spacious (we never felt on top of each other). A few of us were working remotely, so the fiber optic internet was a blessing for Zoom calls! There were even multiple tables to work from and a few that doubled as a make-up desk - what more could you ask for with 12 of us. The host was very quick to respond to any questions and would check in to make sure the stay was going well. We struck gold with this rental and will definitely book again!

Hey! My name is Spencer Slaton. I'm a Chicago native and owner of Lakeview Lux. Personally, my journey began when I bought my first property in 2016. It was your traditional first time remodel story filled with late nights, lot of contractors, and even more trips to Home Depot. Ultimately, it was a great experience and for several years I rented to incredible families on yearly leases. However, in the middle of COVID, my tenants decided to move to a more spacious home to accommodate their big family. And in that moment, I bought a lot of furniture, put together a team, and opened my home to short-term guests. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I love my guests and getting to be a part of their Chicago experience. And, if you're reading this, hopefully I get to be a part of your experience as well.

I closed on Lakeview Lux in October of 2022. My hope was to take all the learning lessons from the first experience and make something special. Over the next four months, the home underwent extensive... and occasionally painful... remodeling that became something really special. It was a team effort only made possible with the help of my agent, general contractor, his team, multiple interior designers, cleaners, friends to help with “the lifting,” and more friends helping as co-hosts. With that being said, my three favorite features of the home are... - The Design - The home is a beautiful mixture of Scandinavian and art deco. Furthermore, because I led the remodel and interior design, they are stylistically aligned. Said another way, the home matches the furniture. The furniture matches the home. - The Space - The space is quite big (6 beds & 2600sqft). It's great for large groups who want to spend time together but also want the ability to spread out. - The Parking - It's very rare to get dedicated parking in a Lakeview rental. Luckily this home has not 1, not 2, but 3!! parking spots. Plus street parking is usually easy.
