Lake Breeze at Europe Lake Lodge

Circa 1960 Lake Breeze was the first built next to Europe Lake. The cottage nestled in Door County is surrounded by the adventures of Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Gills Rock & the short ferry ride to Washington Island. A 4- season porch adds to this two-bedroom cottage with spectacular view of Europe Lake, only steps away. Furnished in vintage camp style carefully selected yet a balance of modern amenities. The cottage has a queen sized sleeper sofa to expand sleeping for 7. May the memories ooze!
The space
While you may not feel the need for TV or WI-FI during your special getaway - Lake Breeze has both. Serene Europe Lake is 20 feet from your doorstep and feel free to use our kayaks, canoes, and rowboat to enjoy being on the lake or go for a swim. The kitchen is fully stocked including a dishwasher and a washer/dryer in the cottage.
Guest access
Lake Breeze has its own parking near the deck of the cottage of the kitchen. You will be given a key code to enter. It’s that easy. The entire property is available to you - with beautiful quiet comfortable spaces to take in the view.

We are here for you along with our property manager Corey. Our wish is you to make the memories of a lifetime here in Door County. Feel free to ask us about all the things Door County has to offer.

Other things to note
We reopened this cottage in August of 2023. If you have stayed at Europe Lake Cottages in the past, we hope you enjoy the refresh Lake Breeze got including a new deck, new mattresses, bedding, pillows, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

With Newport State Park directly across from us there is plenty to see including the beautiful stars at night. Newport was named to the International Dark Sky Association’s list of 48 fantastic dark skies around the world. Newport is the first park in Wisconsin to receive the honor, joining the ranks of Big Ben, Glacier and Grand Canyon national parks.

Hello! Kent and Gwen here! We are from Illinois but Gwen grew up in Wisconsin. We love Wisconsin especially Door County and we had vacationed here for years. Then we decided to purchase a lake home on one of the interior lakes. We didn't want to tear something down. We like old and quirky and really like to preserve the history. We did truly come for one home but ended up buying this small resort of 5 cabins and it's been a labor of love bringing them back to life. We are really enjoying hosting. The property is over 100 years old and we are only the second owners. It had been run as Europe Lake Cottages for many years and we've had several guests who have come back now that it's open again. One couple has stayed here for 50 years! We love the stories. We love seeing people having a lovely time,

We had always stayed on Kangaroo Lake and in 2022 we came up here to explore Europe Lake. What is funny is we came to the public boat launch. Little did we know at the time directly to our right would become our future.

I think what makes this property unique is the history and the character of the cottages. They ooze comfort and vintage camp style because as we first saw the property, it's what spoke to us. Each cottage has it's own flavor. You can't beat the views of the lake, the wildlife and the amazing sky at night. Europe Lake is truly a gem.
