Notre résidence secondaire toute l'année construite sur mesure (nouvelle en 2005) vous accueillera pour vivre la détente estivale avec style! La maison est près de la charmante Wakefield, Narragansett, Westerly et plusieurs des meilleures plages de RI, et nous incluons un laissez-passer pour la plage de Matunuck Beach. La maison, équipée d'un ascenseur desservant tous les niveaux, est une maison «à l'envers» à trois niveaux avec climatisation centrale et foyer au gaz; le salon principal, les terrasses et la chambre principale sont au dernier étage pour une vue maximale sur l'étang Green Hill et votre cour privée. Commencez votre journée avec un café le matin dans les cimes des arbres sur le pont supérieur donnant sur l'étang. Partez à la découverte de l'étang en kayak ou en canoë depuis votre quai privé. Passez une agréable journée d'hiver à lire au coin du feu, à regarder le match sur le câble avec un son surround ou à cuisiner dans la cuisine surdimensionnée. L'été venu, vous pouvez faire du canoë, du kayak ou louer un hors-bord dans une marina locale pour traverser l'étang jusqu'à une plage privée; ou conduisez à une magnifique plage RI différente chaque jour. Revenez à la maison de la plage pour une douche extérieure, puis savourez des cocktails au coucher du soleil sur le toit-terrasse avec vue sur l'océan et Block Island. Préparez votre dîner sur le gril à gaz extérieur ou dans la grande cuisine bien équipée avec fours doubles, micro-ondes, plaque de cuisson à gaz. Mangez-le sur la terrasse couverte ou dans la grande salle à manger. Montez ensuite dans des lits confortables avec de nouveaux matelas dans l'une des quatre chambres (un lit king, deux reines, deux lits superposés) avec les vagues de l'océan en arrière-plan (ou le bourdonnement silencieux de la climatisation). Le jour pluvieux occasionnel? Pas de soucis! Le salon à l'étage est spacieux pour la lecture tranquille, la musique (ou la sieste), le salon au rez-de-chaussée a la télévision par câble, DVD, jeux de société, etc. WiFi dans toute la maison. Mystic Seaport, Aquarium, Newport et bien plus à moins d'une demi-heure de route. Notre ascenseur dessert les trois niveaux afin que tout le monde puisse être inclus.

We went there for the week with our 3 grown children and their families. There was plenty of space and amenities for us all to be there and we weren’t crowded. Having the full size crib and high chair was a huge help! The house was clean and well stocked with everything you would need except food for the week. We really enjoyed it!!

Family Vacation

We go every year Our group keeps getting bigger as the grandchildren grow up, find girlfriends and marry. They just keep coming and going. This house was beautiful and served us just right. Close to beach and towns. Hope Matunuck Oyster House is open again next year. One of our favorites. Planning on returning next year.

FANTASTIC VACATION SPOT!!!!

This house was everything it said and more!!! Pond access for the kayaks was perfect as was the private beach that we paddled to. Kitchen stuff, linens and towels were of top quality and there was plenty of utensils and cooking hardware to keep everyone happy. We were a group of 10 and this house had room for everyone to spread out!!! I would highly recommend this property and will try to return here ourselves.

Peaceful vacation on Indigo Point Rd

Beautiful house and great location! Easy access to a private beach by boat and also passes to the town beach. Kayaking on the pond was wonderful. The house was very spacious with a quiet living room and then a tv in the downstairs living room where the kids could enjoy playing games or watch movies. It was a very relaxing vacation and we are missing the beautiful views of the pond already!

Amazing Vacation Home!

We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home with our extended family: 5 adults and 3 children ages 3 - 13. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and the house had every convenience you could imagine. We especially enjoyed the beach passes to the South Kingston Town Beach, the boat dock, the elevator (wonderful convenience for luggage, groceries and seniors!), the views from the deck, and the amazing kitchen. It was our first time vacationing in South Kingston, and we can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful in every way

This is a wonderful house and situation. We enjoyed every moment of our two weeks there. We entertained many guests, all of whom loved the house. The house itself is lovingly decorated and very well supplied. The view peaceful and restorative and many amenities available. We spent lots of time at the beach (for which beach passes are provided) as well are much time just "hanging" at the house with friends and family. A lovely experience!

I almost don’t want to let others know how great this place is…

I feel like by sharing my experiences everyone will want to stay here and it won’t be available for a future stay! This house was an absolute DREAM, and had everything you could possibly think of. The kitchen is spectacular and the upstairs is a great gathering place for families and friends. The views are nothing short of stunning. Sandy and Bernie are A+++ hosts who were friendly, responsive, and so very thoughtful in the way they had everything covered. By far the best rental we’ve had in RI.

Pond side serenity

This is our second stay in this beautiful home. It has a wonderful view of Green Hill Pond and is a short car ride to a very nice beach and play ground. This home was perfect for our family to spread out in or enjoy each others company in either of the 2 spacious family room areas. With an inverted floor design, we were able to fully appreciate the views from the 3rd level living area or deck. The very private neighborhood was a big plus. Much kudos to the owners who were very gracious and accommodating.

Second year didn’t disappoint!

We stayed at this beautiful property for the second year in a row and had a wonderful time. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a stunning view of the pond and tons of deck space. The kitchen is well equipped and great for cooking and sharing a meal as a large family group. There is ample space for lounging and for sleep (we shared the home between 5 adults and 4 small children). The home is close to the most beautiful beaches and easily accessible to so many great spots in RI. We have zero complaints and will definitely be back!

Our home base is in Hartford, Connecticut but we frequently escape to our home-away-from-home in Rhode Island, and enjoy traveling in our retirement. We built this -- Bernie's Dream House -- in the first year of our marriage in 2005 and both house and marriage are big successes. The house is large, to welcome various groupings of our 6 children and spouses, and 16 grandchildren, and numerous friends. After a walk, paddle on the pond or a day at the beach, we like to gather with friends or curl up with lots of books, whether on the deck or by the fire.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Bernie dreamed of a house near the beach his whole life, and having lived in Rhode Island in the past he gravitated to the beautiful RI beaches. He found the land in 2002 and started designing the house before he retired, and by the time Sandy came on the scene it had gone through five architects and numerous design phases. It was worth the wait -- the result is spectacular yet comfortable, expansive yet cozy in each area of the house.

Many families choose to rent our house because we have an elevator serving all three levels, so people who are less mobile can be part of the family vacation. Because it is our dream house, it has special touches like beautiful dark Brazilian hardwood and solid oak floors. One of the most striking features is our deck area -- there are 250 square feet of deck on the guest room level, an equal amount on the top main floor, a 150 square foot 'crow's nest' deck at roof level from which you can see the ocean and Block Island. (One of our carpenters assigned to the deck commented, 'There is as much room on these decks as in the whole house!')
