Jennifer’s Cottage Room offers cozy, hotel-style comfort in charming Summerland, CA. Relax in a plush king bed, unwind on your private outdoor patio, and enjoy the convenience of a small kitchenette. This pet-friendly retreat is perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking a peaceful coastal getaway—just minutes from the beach, shops, and local dining.
Home Description - this is a small `hotel-style` unit with a large King Bed. Please be aware it can be perfect for some and extremely cozy for others! Parking is directly out front with a `Jennifer`s Room` sign entrance.
Inside the Unit:
- Kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and Keurig (no stove or oven)
- Coffee area for your morning pick-me-up
- No washer/dryer available
- Outdoor shared patio for lounging and dining al fresco
Pet rules:
- pets must stay off furniture, use restroom outside, and not be left alone in the unit. Violations or damages may result in a fee.
- 1 dog welcome (no other animals without prior host approval)
Parking & Entry Notes
- Free parking for 1 vehicle (see sign)
- Please be aware: this is a duplex with one shared wall. Room is adjacent to the road.
- Guests taller than 5’10” may need to duck slightly when entering the unit
Enter through the white gate and turn left, look for the `Jennifer`s Room` sign :)
Enter code and turn deadbolt away from door.

Santa Barbara weekend

We loved our stay here! It was a little cramped with our 3 year old daughter but it was very cozy and was perfect for what we needed as we stayed pretty busy and didn’t spend much time in the room.

Summerland visit

We really enjoyed our stay! The area is so lovely and our rental was stocked with everything we could need from wine glasses, beach chairs and towels, bowls, plates and flatwear. The only slight negative is that the room is smaller than the photos suggest. worked for us!

Very cute, small but very efficient room that was perfect for my dog and I. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the coffee in the morning and the shower/bathroom had everything I needed. I particularly loved walking the neighborhood and town of Summerland in the mornings.

Cozy weekend vacation spot

This cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway to Santa Barbara. I would definitely recommend for any couple looking for a place to stay near Santa Barbara. Summer land is also a very nice little town

So comfortable!

I was impressed that Jennifer’s Room was in a lovely upscale neighborhood. Upon arrival I walked my dog and was welcomed by 3 neighbors. I felt so safe and comfortable in Jennifer’s Room. It was a perfect place for me and my dog, Grace O’Malley.

Hmm, this is a cute space for one person, also a couple. The problem we had with this unit was the amount of stuff everywhere, and lack or airflow. The picture makes the room seem reasonable, though small. When you arrive, it’s clear someone has jammed in as much decoration and stuff as possible. Don’t need more than a frig, coffee maker and beach towels. The rest of the space should be reserved for smart storage of guest items. Table tops should not be cluttered with tchotchkes from Ikea. Toaster completely unnecessary in this size room. Summerland is cute and walkable, easy distance to Carpenteria and SB. Neighborhood is lowkey and very walkable. There is apparently only one operable window in this unit, which makes warm temperatures tricky. Nice, friendly helpful manager. Bath Linens are barely above your cleaning towels, think Motel 6. If you go with the right frame of mind, it’s all good.
