Unfortunately even though we have a non- smoking condo we had a smoking tenant lie on their application. They had a 4 month rental that ended in early June. Upon check out, when we discovered the issue, we immediately had the unit scrubbed with Odo-Ban, steam cleaned the rugs, tile and sofas. We had the mattress covers and bed spreads dry cleaned. We replaced the air filter and thought we had gotten the stink out prior to Michelle checking in. Unfortunately when the windows were closed and AC turned some smell did return. Upon check out we had ServPro professionally perform smoke remediation and there is no hint of smoke now in the condo. We did inform Michelle that the oven was broken upon check in and that it was and waiting on a part. The first part arrived Monday but proved to be defective. The replacement part was installed Thursday of her stay. Due to covid pandemic the owners of the building decided not to open the pool due to health concerns. They also turned off the common outdoor shower. This decision was very slow in coming out and at first they told us that the pool would open but then reversed the decision. Unfortunately we have no control the status of the building amenities. We did inform incoming guests that the pool would not be available and we did refund $110 for the inconvenience. We should also mention that rental rate was reduced by $400 from the regular price due to the uncertainties of the covid pandemic. Unit is up and functional with no smoke smell currently. All appliances are working perfectly.
