Escape to the beach in this bright ocean block 2 BR/2BA in relaxing mid-town!

Come enjoy this delightful 2 bedroom condo in Silver Shell just a few steps from the beach in a convenient OC location on 70th street. This roomy 2nd floor unit sleeps 7 comfortably (without using a sofa). Full kitchen and cable TV package with 125+ channels. A large balcony for relaxing or meals has a side ocean view and even catches a glimpse of the bay. No high rises nearby so less crowded beach. Convenient private parking underneath building for 2 cars. Beach items avilable in shed on balcony. Lots of activities/restaurants in walking distance. Great heat and WiFi allow you to use it as a spring or fall getaway! We use a linen service for bed sheets and towels. If you would like to bring your own please let me know at least a week before arrival and I will refund the linen fee. June to mid-Aug rentals are Saturday-Saturday. Full month off-season rentals available. .

The Condo was very cute, great location for a walking to stores and restaurants. We were very fortunate to be the only ones in the whole complex. The day before we left the neighborhood got a little bit noisy. It would’ve been nice if there was a privacy wall, dividing the balconies next to each other.

We had such a great stay! We did not know 70th street is a popular spot for the crazy teenager senior week trips. That was a bit of a bummer on the first day, but we adjusted after that. The location was quiet at night and was clean. The host has great communication and had various items available for guest use if needed including some beach chairs, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely use this host.

Great Stay

My husband and 2 older girls stayed here for the Country Calling Fest and it was perfect! We had everything we needed for the weekend and it is a great location. If your like cooking and looking to do some cooking while your here you may want to bring your preferred cookware, otherwise everything is there.

The whole process was great. The only real problem was a toaster that work. After telling the owners, they were going to take care of it. The unit was well equip. I would stay there again.

Great little place to stay! Just steps from the beach and such a cute little setup. Only thing out of place was someone had left their shirt hanging behind the door which could easily be missed during cleanup. Place was beautiful! Definitely would stay there again!

Great place!

We had such a great time staying here for a long weekend mom’s getaway! It was conveniently close to the beach, shops, and restaurants that we could walk to! We loved not having to hop in the car to go everywhere. Erik was quick to answer any and all questions we had. We will hopefully be staying here for more momcations in the future!

Everything you need for a beach stay

Great location and everything available for a beach getaway. Owners are quick to respond to any questions. Very clean. The pillows on the beds could use an update, we were happy we had brought our own.

Rejuvenating Retreat

My teenage daughter and I stayed at this property for a much needed spring getaway/mother-daughter bonding. The property was clean and cheery, had comfy beds for restful sleep, cozy couches for lounging, and was in an ideal location; shops and restaurants were within short walking distance but most importantly, so was the beach. All communication with the hosts was pleasant and professional and they were accommodating of a last-minute change in plans to extend our stay. I can envision making a trip to the Silver Shell an annual mother-daughter event, and we look forward to our next visit!

Fantastic OC condo!

We needed a little winter getaway & vitamin sea :-) Even though it’s chilly in OC in January, it’s still great to be able to walk on the beach, order carry-out from some of the wonderful restaurants, shop and play indoor mini-golf. The condo is located in a perfect mid-town spot close to everything. You can see the ocean from the balcony and the condo is clean, well-furnished and ideal for a vacation any season. Owners were excellent with communication. Will certainly consider renting again in the future!

Place was just as listed, clean, steps to the beach and seafood restaurants close by.

Parking was covered, liked that. Apt totally stocked with champagne for me and a friend. The host, Lia, was very helpful. Can't wait to stay there in-season.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Silver Shell is a sought after masonry building with only 6 units making it very relaxing. Our unit is very comfy and has a beachy feel and décor with windows on 3 sides and a view of the ocean from the balcony and glimpse of the bay to the left. Our 2nd floor unit allows for a nice view walking up only 2 flights of stairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. There is a queen and double in the master bedroom and a double and twin (plus top bunk twin) in the 2nd bedroom. A linen service provides linens and towels but if you bring your own the linen fee ($65) will be refunded. The unit includes a washer/dryer. Bring your own beach towels. Full cable TV. Some beach items are included for your use in the shed on the balcony. An outdoor shower is available under the building for after the beach. No smoking in the unit or on the balcony.

The beach entrance at 70th street has handicap access and during the summer the absence of high-rises in the mid-town area avoids late day building shadows and allows you to enjoy a less crowded family friendly beach. Park you car for the week. Walkable to many restaurants, bars and activities. Easy access to 70th street via Rt. 90. Bus downtown to boardwalk and pier just 1 block away.
