Fire Island est une île magique au large de la côte sud de Long Island New York et Ocean Beach est sa capitale! Il peut être atteint par des ferries aux noms audacieux comme Explorer, Voyager et Fire Island Flyer traversant la Great South Bay depuis Bay Shore, NY.
Ocean Beach est une ville sophistiquée et en plus des plus belles plages océaniques du monde, elle abrite 10 restaurants raffinés et boîtes de nuit mettant en vedette des chefs et des divertissements très talentueux.
Cette maison est située sur Bay Walk où vous serez proche de la rue principale animée bordée des deux côtés de boutiques, restaurants, glaciers, 3 marchés, un cinéma et même une salle de sport!
Vous ne verrez pas de voitures car elles sont interdites sur l'île. Se promener, faire du vélo et (quand il y a beaucoup à ramener à la maison) des wagons rouges sont les moyens de transport. VOIR LE CALENDRIER POUR LA DISPONIBILITÉ.
Il n'y a pas de chariot ou de chaises de plage à la maison (autres que ceux laissés par les clients précédents). Il est suggéré que vous apportiez un wagon raisonnablement emballé au traversier à passagers d'articles de première nécessité en boîte / en sac au traversier de marchandises à la fin de Maple Ave avant 9 h. Le fret arrivera dans l'OB vers 12h30. Il y aura une petite charge dans les deux cas.

The location is superb, can’t do much better! Towards the end of the main strip for privacy but still right near the action that you come to Ocean Beach for. The rental was clean and stocked with essentials upon our arrival (definitely a life-saver) with the onsite washer/dryer a bonus!As for the property owner, I’m happy to report that this one is a pleasure… congenial, accommodating and professional from the start of the reservation process and onward.We are looking forward to returning next year, thank you again, Peter!

This house was so perfect for our little group! Peter was the best host, took time to answer all of my questions. The house is in the perfect spot too! Traditional Beach Cottage with Perfect Location

We loved staying at this property in Ocean Beach. So close to town and easily accessible. Bay is around the corner and the Ocean just a short walk from the house. Youth center conveniently located five seconds away so great location for families and others alike! Peter was very nice and helpful. Laundry available and a large deck. Great stay!

It was in a good location close to town but was very dirty. Lots of pots and pans that look like they have been sitting with grease.

Our trip!

Checking it was an easy process. It’s a cute little cottage very family friendly. Peter was a great host. With it being my birthday vacation, I had many unexpected visitors, and he was very open to us enjoying ourselves and having a good time. Family vacation

Clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything a traveling, young family needs for a great beach vacation. Peter was great host, friendly, quiet and always close by if we needed anything. Property has enough space for a family of 5 to spread out , each had privacy when needed. Decorated tastefully, nice deck, grill, outdoor shower and convenient laundry. Cold AC, updated kitchen, plenty of hot water for multiple showers. Can’t wait to comeback again. Thanks Blue Parrot for making our vacation 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Almost perfect!

This little beach house had a great location for dining and shopping. Just a short, enchanting walk to the beach. It was great for 4 of us. Ocean Beach is alittle much for me, personally. August of 2017 has been the busiest I have seen the village in quite some time. It seemed the whole world was on vacation and picked OB as a destination. Quieter times in September and October and there are still vacancies!

Summer family fun

Great location on the island. Close to the ferry and private boat docking. Within in a very short walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Owner very helpful and friendly. House it self has been upgraded since the storm and very nice for family's with small kids. Deck is nice and includes a BBQ and outdoor shower. Overall great location. Common space in the house is decorated well and all the rooms have ac. Thanks for a great week with family. Look forward to hopefully returning.

This was our second time vacationing at this house and love it! The homeowners are quick to answer any question and are very easy going. It's a typical beach house with a great location and private deck in back yard. Three rooms have different sleepin accommodations which helps in the planning of where everyone will sleep. Clean house with every thing you need in preparing a great BBQ or meal (just bring your food). Never used the inside shower since they have a great outdoor shower. Would definitely stay there again!!

Thank you so much! We had such a magical few days of laughter, joy, family fun! We were so comfortable, felt safe. So much provided that was so convenient and appreciated for a wonderful escape. Towels, games, warm cozy bedding, beach chairs. So many great kitchen essentials provided. Our youngest learned how to ride a bike on bikes we were able to use. You couldn’t ask for a better location. All was perfect!

Perfect Quick Gamily Get Away

Peter was an excellent host. We arrived early to enjoy the beach and since the cleaning was done he allowed us to put our bags in house.The house is conveniently located near ferry, restaurants and shops. This was great for families with teenagers. My husband and I were able to go out locally and allowed children to walk around town. The pantry was right nExt door so it was super convenient if you do not feel like lugging tones of food and drinks on ferry . This was a short trip so we were happy it was conveniently located to everything.

The best location // no Frills

The location doesn’t get more convenient to the small town and ferry (really I don’t think there’s a closer house). 7 minute walk to the beach. The owner was very accommodating and communicative. The place is small and has everything you need but is very basic, and is meant as a pure beach bungalow - no frills, and won’t be the cleanest place you’ve stayed. But the important parts were great (clean sheets). As someone else mentioned, the outside shower is where it’s at!

Thanks for your review. Wondering why negative remarks regarding cleanliness, the place is professionally cleaned between guests, including rug cleaning every other week. And thanks for the description, yes it is a basic beach house, priced as that with a great location. All guests receive my cell number and are asked to immediately inform us if there is anything unsatisfactory.

Sadly very u happy will not return

Sadly, the listing did not accurately disclose that the owner lives on the property, separated only by an interior door in the living room—with no lock on our side, raising major safety and privacy concerns. Also sharing the outdoor common area. (Which was not disclosed in the description until we were about to check in the evening before) While we were trying to enjoy the outside the man was sitting there the entire day. It was extremely uncomfortable. I was also unfairly and repeatedly questioned on the first day about the ages of my daughters, who are 23, even though the house rules only mention supervision for guests under 18. I was there everyday and left minimally to go to work. The tone and approach from the owner were condescending and created an uncomfortable, stressful environment that significantly impacted our stay. Kitchen is infested with ants.I would not recommend.

Excellent location - Needs major updating

The only positive thing about this property is the location. Located right outside the town and was easy access to the ferry, shops, and restaurants. This property needs fixing and a lot of updating. When you walk up to the location the fencing is broken and the property looks dated. When you walk into the front door you are greeted by the smell of smoke. The owner lives on property and is always in the vicinity (usually with guests on the shared back deck, which made us feel very uncomfortable). The rugs are worn and appliances are old. The outdoor shower is a better option then the indoor shower. I was told that the property was cleaned by "staff" in between the stays which is not the case. The property owner relies on the house guests to clean the property upon leaving. I had to thoroughly clean when I arrived due to crumbs on the table, dirty toilet seat and bathroom, old food and condiments in the fridge/freezer with filthy shelves. When I located the vaccuum to use it looked like it was never cleaned out. There were also ants in the kitchen and bathroom. The property owner came in to inspect after I wrote a message complaining about the condition, but easily looked to point blame on us and was not even apologetic. He claimed to look through the house before I rented. Which he may have, but then must have very minimal standards. He attempted to divert attention from the problem by pointing out that I had my daughter and her friends as guests and labeled it as a "house party." Which it definitely was not. This was definitely not a professionally cleaned house, nor was the property owner professional in his dealing with complaints (he was heard cursing). This house will never be recommended to others.

The original message for booking was she was coming for her daughter's birthday with 4 of her friends. 6-816 year olds arrived, screaming and generally boisterous. One adult- the reviewer, arrived later and informed me that she was the person over 25 required by the rental agreement . The house was inspected prior to the young girls arriving and clean. When I went in to respond to the adults complaint. I had no idea what might have been going on in the place before I re-inspected. She was informed that at least two adults must be supervising that many children (barely 16,) The tenant informed me that it was a sweet 16 party. I informed her that house parties, sweet 16 parties (without adequate adult supervision) and that sweet 16 parties were a violation of the lease agreement.... No one cursed, smoking is prohibited in indoor areas, but allowed outdoors in individual rentals private areas. No one lurked about ( there is a line of sight from other homes and businesses, other guests exclusive areas and occasional staff functions outdoors. All of which is spelled out in the lease agreement- specifically the diagram of the property). Complete privacy indoors is guaranteed, complete privacy in outdoor areas is impossible. We are sincerely apologetic that this guest was unable to completely enjoy her stay here and will redouble efforts to inspect the place closer, to the point of taking time stamped photos of the condition of the place prior to guests arrival. However we would not rent to this person again since the liability of only one adult supervising so many children ultimately falls on the owners, our insurance and annoys neighbors. Liability is too great.

Excellent location! / Not the cleanest

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 3 year old. Overall: we would stay here again. Pros: - you can't beat the location, with a grocery store literally right next door and Maguires on the other side. One minute walk from ferry. -Nice, large outdoor area with grill/ cooler -house had everything you need (mini shampoo/ soap etc. In bathroom, towels, bedding, kitchen stuff, even beach toys) -very easy check in/out Cons: - The place is not the cleanest. We had to wear our socks inside and they were black by the end of the day. - Landlord stays on the property as well (as mentioned in the ad) and smokes, so be careful if you have asthma etc.

Unfortunately we weren't informed of the problem, the area would have been cleaned up. There are matt's outside and inside of every entry door, absent using them, fine sand and silt will be tracked in. Rugs are shampooed and extracted regularly and when needed.
