Comfy & cute house close to downtown!

The host was quick to respond and very accommodating. A few appliances were not functioning and he quickly sent someone to look at them. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were so comfy. We saw toucans and parrots outside the kitchen windows!

A month living as Ticos in the Casa Amarilla - great people, beautiful location and reasonable price. We would recommend it for anyone looking for a long term rental in a quiet small town near La Fortuna. There are a multitude of entertainment activities in the area. We did not rent a car and found Uber and taxi transportation readily available. All the recommended staff were excellent. They were very kind, timely and helpful when minor problems occurred. The lady who cleans came when asked impromptu and did our laundry in the provided modern washer and dryer. Although not living in Costa Rica the owner was responsive to any questions or concerns. The house is well equipped with appliances, furniture, bed linens, dishes, pans etc. Towels were abundant and of very good quality. We used the new coffee maker and large griddle. The individual hot water heaters on the shower heads in the bathrooms were dependable. The house has Netflix and local programming. The house grounds are beautiful. AC worked in all the bedrooms and was needed. Ceiling fans circulated the AC to the rest of the rooms when needed. We were there in the rainy season which is not the best time to visit due to heat and rain, but restaurants etc. were not crowded. The Casa Amarilla website was professional. Minor suggestions for improvement Soap dispenser in the second bdrm needs replacement. Leak from AC unit in one bdrm. Pool hard for seniors to get in and out.

Welcome to our slice of paradise in La Fortuna, Costa Rica! We are the Garcia family—Jon, a dedicated firefighter from Denver, CO, my beautiful wife of 23 years, and our two wonderful sons. Our love affair with Costa Rica began during our first visit in 2020, and since then, we've returned every year, falling more in love with this incredible country each time.

We've traveled extensively across Costa Rica, but La Fortuna has always held a special place in our hearts. Every trip starts here, and we never want to leave. The breathtaking views, the warm community, and the vibrant natural surroundings make it a place we knew we wanted to call home. We never imagined it would happen so soon, but now we're thrilled to share our dream with you.

Whether you're here to explore the majestic Arenal Volcano, relax in the hot springs, or immerse yourself in the rich local culture, we’re excited to offer you a warm, comfortable space to enjoy everything this beautiful region has to offer.
