What is Pelican Sol? Pelican Sol is a freshly updated beach retreat that embodies the spirit of Oak Island. Quietly located in the heart of Oak Island, Pelican Sol sits directly on the Intracoastal tidal marsh and a mere three hundred steps from Long Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Ocean Crest pier is your backdrop as you find your perfect sand sanctuary on the powdery beach. Imagine yourself sitting on one of the spacious decks enjoying the ocean breeze as you listen to the surf roll in or experience breathtaking views of the marsh and its wild life. At Pelican Sol, you can wake up in the Coral Reef Room and greet the morning as the sun bathes the island in a golden hello. Or, you can watch the sun slip below the horizon to a kaleidoscope of tropical hues from the Tidal Marsh Room. In the Captain’s Quarters, you can let your imagination run wild as the nautical ambience whisks you away to visions of ships and scalawags. When you wind down your day of fun in the sun, a fully enclosed outdoor shower can wash away the salt and sand, but never the memories. Wonderful location! The house is so comfortable and has everything you need. The beach is a short easy walk and the marsh out back has wildlife to view. Very enjoyable stay!

Fantastic property! Loved being on the marsh, walking distance to Ocean Crest Pier, the king size comfy bed and outdoor shower! We will definitely be booking this house again in the future. Organized, clean, great communication, thoughtfulness and an overall feeling of staying at a friend's house. The location is great & the house is comfortable with great indoor and outdoor spaces. You can walk over the marsh and the canal, kayak right out of the backyard at high tide, and relax on 2 porches with comfy couches. The house is stocked with necessities and extras, and we had a great stay. Thanks for sharing your home!

The home was welcoming, clean, and such a great location. Close to the beach and lovely views of the marsh behind the house. Since it was early December when we visited it was chilly but Sunny a few of the days and we hunkered down on the rainy day. There are plenty of staples, dishes, cookware, etc for making meals. I would love to come visit again in early summer or fall.

Happy I chose this home! It was clean, inviting, and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed relaxing and eating on the porch. Teens could easily walk to the beach. They also liked playing cornhole. Home had everything we needed.

Idyllic Beach Get Away

Pelican Sol is simply wonderful. I was jusr having a quick overnight beach stay and hit the jackpot with this rental. It's well maintained inside and out. Easy walk to the beach and the marsh is literally in your backyard. The owners were great communicators & had lots of top notch extra touches. I definitely plan to come back for a longer stay.

We love where the house is located due to the amazing proximity to the beach, the relaxed feel of the street, and the one of a kind views of the tidal marsh from the back porch. The sunsets are mind blowing!

There are very few properties that give the jaw dropping views from the back deck and being able to enjoy all of the native coastal wildlife just feet away,
