perfect for a quick get away. We were up for a wedding and wanted a calm, quiet place for the kids to stay so they’d be well rested for their flower girl duties and this was perfect. Rock beach kept kids busy for hours, and an easy drive to Burlington for food/shopping. Clean, well stocked, and listing is accurate.

Looking at the photos and room descriptions after our stay, it became obvious that the captions for the images were generated by AI. We should have been a bit more diligent in examining those photos. For example, listing an outdoor shower as a half-bath was inaccurate and listing framed pictures on the wall as amenity's was just plain silly. But the responsibility for looking closely at those descriptions rests with us. It was just a little disappointing. But we will likely use VRBO more judiciously in the future or not at all. Perhaps other vacation property websites uses similar technology but we have never seen it on those sites. It would also be helpful to have instructions left at the house for appliances that can be confusing to use. For example the new cook stove and oven. In order to control the temperature you need to press Power, then Bake, then Set (the button with the wrench on it) and finally Start/Stop. Luckily we could access the internet to figure it out. But it took 24 hours of playing with it! Just a tip for the host. Perhaps make relevant copies of particular appliance operation instructions. We found the location to be beautiful and convenient. Just wish we had examined the write-up a little bit more!

The quintessential Vermont ‘camp’ - beautiful property, sunsets, ample beachfront, relaxing lawn (hammock, chairs, etc.The property was very clean and extremely well equipped- thank you - some basic goods plus plenty of towels, bedding, etc.Having staying on Lake Champlain many times - this property had all of the elements for a relaxing and active stay. If you seek a quant, private, relaxing, and unique Vermont lakefront property I would highly recommend!

My wife Anne and I have lived in Grand Isle, Vermont for Twenty five years. Now we are raising our three year old son MAX here. Anne takes the ferry to work across the lake in Plattsburgh, NY. When I am not looking after MAX, I work as a Cabinet Maker out of our home here in Grand Isle. We both love to sail and spend a lot of our free time racing sailboats.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We found this property twelve years ago. it is just down the street from where we first lived in Grand Isle. We had been looking for a property to invest in for years. when this one became available we jumped on it. We are so glad we did. It is a special place and I hope you will enjoy it.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

There are a few things that makes our cottage so wonderful. First, It sits only 30 feet from the lake so you feel like you are right there. There is a screened in porch where you can spend long evenings drinking wine and talking about your day or relaxing with a book. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the lawn in an Adirondack Chair on a nice summer afternoon and watch the sailboats go by. The cottage is a quiet place. It sits 300 feet from a road that is not busy in the first place. If you want to venture out for the day or evening there are great choices. First, there are some great restaurants locally. Burlington is only 30 minutes away and if you have never been to Burlington you need to go. Burlington is a wonderful small city with fantastic restaurants, shops, music, and more. Montreal is a 90 minute drive north. just don't forget your passport.
Grand Isle is a wonderful place to bike, paddle, fish, swim, or just hang out and relax with your favorite drink. I hope you come and enjoy our cottage.
